Astralis Dominate GamerLegion 2-0 to Advance to Stage 2 at IEM Kraków 2026
Astralis secured their progression to Stage 2 of the IEM Kraków 2026 CS2 event with a comprehensive 2-0 win over GamerLegion in the Stage 1 lower-bracket round on Friday.
The match, a best-of-three on the LAN in Kraków, saw Astralis control both maps — Inferno and Overpass — without dropping a map. The Danish-majority squad outpaced GamerLegion’s offense, finishing the first map 13-5 and then running away with a 13-2 victory on the second, earning a clean series sweep and advancing to the IEM Kraków top-16.

Although GamerLegion had earlier shown resilience — notably with a victory over HEROIC in a previous Stage 1 match — the team could not replicate that form against Astralis and exited the event with a 9–12 placement and associated Stage 1 prize allocation.
With this win, Astralis joins the other eight teams that have now advanced to Stage 2 of IEM Kraków 2026, including Aurora (who dispatched paiN 2-0), BC.Game (who eliminated Ninjas in Pyjamas), and others who have booked their spots in the event’s top-16 bracket.
Broader Context of IEM Kraków 2026
IEM Kraków 2026 is structured with a Stage 1 double-elimination bracket, where only half of the field advances to the main Stage 2. Strong performances in Stage 1 are critical for teams to continue competing for the event’s deeper rounds and larger prize pool.
Astralis’ result adds momentum to their campaign after mixed results early in the year, and places them into the next phase of one of the first big CS2 LAN tournaments of the season.
