9INE move cej0t to inactive roster amid continued roster instability
9INE have made another change to their Counter-Strike 2 lineup, moving Polish rifler Jan “cej0t” Dyl to the inactive roster with immediate effect. The organization confirmed the decision on May 1, thanking the 19-year-old for his work and adding that he has “a bright future ahead.” HLTV reported that the move ends cej0t’s roughly 10-month run in 9INE’s starting five, with the benching coming after a period of underwhelming results for the team.
cej0t’s time with 9INE began in the summer of 2025, when he joined during a wider roster rebuild. At the time, 9INE were replacing Jonatan “bobeksde” Persson, while Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski was also no longer part of the active setup. The move reunited cej0t with coach Danny “BERRY” Krüger, under whom he had previously worked during his time in Sprout. HLTV described cej0t as an aggressive rifler and noted that before joining 9INE he had spent time in talent-development environments such as Sprout and Endpoint.
The early months of the partnership produced some encouraging signs. According to HLTV, 9INE strengthened their position among Europe’s tier-two contenders during the second half of 2025, with the high point coming at Birch Cup in September, where the team claimed first place. That run helped keep the roster in contention for a StarLadder Budapest Major spot, but 9INE ultimately fell short after losing to fnatic in the Fragadelphia Blocktober grand final.
After that near miss, however, the team entered a less stable phase. HLTV reported that 9INE’s lineup changed several times from the end of 2025 into early 2026, while results also declined. The team had previously hovered around the top 20 in the Valve Regional Standings, but later slipped outside the top 50, a drop also highlighted by BO3.gg in its coverage of the move.
The decision leaves 9INE with four listed active players: Rasmus “raalz” Steensborg, Tobias “kraghen” Kragh Jensen, Bartosz “bnox” Niebisz and Alan “flayy” Krupa, with Danny “BERRY” Krüger remaining as coach. HLTV’s report did not name a replacement, and other coverage also noted that the organization had not yet announced who would take cej0t’s place in the starting lineup.
cej0t’s individual numbers give additional context to the move without fully explaining it on their own. HLTV’s player page listed him as a 19-year-old Polish player for 9INE, with a 1.04 Rating 3.0 across 63 maps over the previous three months at the time of checking. Another outlet, CSGO.com, listed his three-month average at 1.03 across 66 maps, showing broadly similar recent performance data.
For 9INE, the benching looks less like an isolated decision and more like part of an ongoing attempt to regain structure after a turbulent period. The organization had shown promise in 2025, especially through its Birch Cup win and late push toward Major qualification, but the months that followed brought roster changes, weaker results and a decline in ranking position. Until a fifth player is officially confirmed, the team’s next step remains open.
