3DMAX, The MongolZ and MIBR Secure Playoff Spots at PGL Bucharest 2026 Day 4

On the fourth day of PGL Bucharest 2026, three more teams — 3DMAX, The MongolZ, and MIBR — secured their spots in the playoffs, joining the first qualified squads from earlier rounds and further shaping the tournament’s decisive stage.
The Swiss stage continued to deliver high-stakes matchups, as teams with a 2–1 record battled for direct qualification. Every series carried significant weight, with victory guaranteeing a place in the playoffs and defeat sending teams into a risky final round.
3DMAX were among the standout performers of the day. The French side had already built momentum earlier in the event, notably defeating B8 in a tightly contested three-map series to reach a 2–1 record. That win proved crucial, putting them just one step away from qualification and demonstrating their resilience in pressure situations.
On day four, they capitalized on that momentum and successfully secured their playoff berth, confirming their consistency throughout the Swiss stage.
The MongolZ also advanced after a convincing performance in their qualification match. They defeated Wildcard 2–0 in a best-of-three series, showing strong control across both maps. The victory highlighted their solid form in the tournament, especially considering their earlier strong start, which included a 2–0 win over EYEBALLERS that initially put them in a favorable position.
Their ability to recover from setbacks and close out the crucial match under pressure ultimately ensured their progression to the playoffs.
MIBR completed the trio of teams advancing on day four. The Brazilian squad had faced a challenging path through the Swiss format but managed to deliver when it mattered most. Earlier in the tournament, they secured an important 2–1 victory over BC.Game and continued to build on that result heading into their deciding match.
Heading into day four, MIBR were set to face EYEBALLERS in a direct playoff-deciding match, a pairing that underlined how competitive the 2–1 pool had become.
They ultimately came out on top, clinching their place in the next stage.
The results from day four added to an already competitive playoff lineup. Previously, teams like Astralis had secured early qualification with dominant performances, including a flawless run through the initial rounds.
With more contenders now locked in, the playoff bracket is shaping up to feature a diverse mix of established names and rising teams.
PGL Bucharest 2026, which runs from April 4 to April 11 and features 16 teams competing for a $625,000 prize pool, continues to showcase the depth of the current Counter-Strike scene.
The Swiss stage format has ensured that no team could afford mistakes, as even strong early performances required consistent follow-up wins to secure advancement.
With 3DMAX, The MongolZ, and MIBR now through to the playoffs, attention turns to the remaining qualification matches and the elimination battles. As the event progresses, the level of competition is expected to rise further, with each team aiming to convert their playoff appearance into a deep run and a shot at the title.
