Natus Vincere kept their ESL Pro League Season 23 campaign alive with a hard-fought victory over 3DMAX, securing a place in the tournament’s playoff stage after a tense three-map series. The Ukrainian organization prevailed 2–1, winning on Dust2 and Ancient to clinch qualification while eliminating their French opponents from contention. 

The match took place during Stage 2 of the event, which uses a 16-team Swiss system format. In this phase, teams must secure three series victories to advance to the playoffs, while three losses result in elimination. The top eight teams from this stage progress to the single-elimination playoff bracket scheduled later in the tournament.

Both teams entered the deciding round with identical 2-2 records, meaning the series served as a direct qualification match for the playoffs. The matchup carried extra significance, as previous encounters between the sides had been competitive.
