Biography

Özgür “woxic” Eker (born September 2, 1998, in Turkey) is a professional Counter-Strike 2 AWPer, celebrated as one of the most accomplished and influential players to come out of the Turkish esports scene. Renowned for his lightning-fast reactions, aggressive peeks, and fearless playstyle, woxic has built a career competing for top international organizations and representing his country at the highest levels of competitive Counter-Strike.

Woxic’s passion for Counter-Strike began at a young age, playing in local internet cafés and participating in small community tournaments in Turkey. His mechanical skill and bold approach with the AWP quickly set him apart, allowing him to transition into professional play in the early 2010s. After stints with local Turkish rosters, his first major breakthrough came in 2017 when he joined HellRaisers. There, woxic began to establish himself on the international stage, impressing audiences with his aggressive sniping and standout performances at Major tournaments. His time with HellRaisers saw him develop into a consistent threat against top-tier opponents, earning a reputation as a dangerous player who could shift the outcome of a match with a single round.

In March 2019, woxic signed with mousesports, marking a pivotal moment in his career. His arrival injected firepower and confidence into the team, and MOUZ quickly became a formidable force on the global scene. With woxic as the primary AWPer, mousesports secured several notable titles, including the CS:GO Asia Championships 2019 and the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals, as well as a victory at ICE Challenge 2020. During this period, woxic was widely regarded as one of the most impactful AWPers in the game, regularly posting high frag counts, delivering clutch performances, and maintaining some of the best individual statistics in elite competition.

In August 2020, woxic took the next step in his career by joining Cloud9 as part of the organization’s ambitious “Colossus” project, designed to compete at the highest level of CS:GO. Although the roster struggled to find stability and consistent results, the move demonstrated woxic’s continued value in the international market. His tenure with Cloud9 was brief, and by early 2021, he departed the lineup and began looking toward new opportunities.

That same year, woxic returned to his roots, co-founding Eternal Fire in August 2021 alongside other prominent Turkish players. Acting as both a star player and a leader, he helped the team qualify for international events, compete in Regional Major Ranking tournaments, and make appearances at global competitions. In Eternal Fire, woxic took on a dual responsibility: to perform as one of the roster’s most dangerous fraggers while also guiding and developing the squad into a competitive force.

Known for his high-tempo and fearless AWPing style, woxic often thrives in high-pressure situations, willing to take risky peeks and challenge opponents head-on. His skillset is built on razor-sharp aim, exceptional flick shots, and a deep understanding of timing and positioning. These qualities have made him not just a highlight-reel player, but also a consistent contributor capable of dismantling even the most structured defensive setups.
