Biography
Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov (born December 14, 2004, in Ukraine) is a professional Counter-Strike 2 player and the primary AWPer for Natus Vincere (NAVI). Widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in modern Counter-Strike, w0nderful is known for his exceptional composure under pressure, clinical first-shot accuracy, and consistency against the highest level of competition. His rapid rise through the competitive scene has seen him develop from a promising Eastern European prodigy into a CS2 Major champion and a top-tier sniper capable of shaping games at the very highest level.
W0nderful’s competitive journey began in the CIS region, where he played for teams such as MAJESTY, Project X, TRASKO, and HellRaisers. Even at this early stage, his precision with the AWP and intelligent decision-making caught the attention of scouts and analysts. His breakthrough came in June 2022, when he signed with Team Spirit, stepping into tier-one Counter-Strike at just 17 years old. With Spirit, w0nderful gained invaluable experience at elite tournaments, including a playoff run at the IEM Rio Major 2022, where he faced off against the best in the world and proved he could handle high-pressure LAN situations.
In mid-2023, after a short period on the inactive roster, he joined Sprout, using his time there to refine his game, expand his playbook, and maintain strong form against competitive European opposition. His patience and persistence paid off when, at the end of 2023, NAVI recruited him to lead their AWP line. This move placed w0nderful at the center of one of Counter-Strike’s most prestigious organizations and paired him with world-class teammates.
His impact was immediate. W0nderful became the backbone of NAVI’s defensive setups and a constant threat in opening duels. His calm repositioning, strong post-plant play, and ability to convert crucial rounds were instrumental in NAVI’s run to the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 championship—the first Major in Counter-Strike 2 history. This victory solidified his reputation as a world champion AWPer and one of the most reliable young snipers in the game.
The success didn’t stop there. In 2024, NAVI also claimed titles at ESL Pro League Season 20, IEM Rio 2024, and the Esports World Cup 2024, while securing high finishes such as second place at IEM Cologne 2024 and the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024. W0nderful’s individual excellence was recognized globally when he debuted at #11 in HLTV’s Top 20 Players of 2024, a testament to his consistent performance throughout the year.
In 2025, w0nderful continued to be a central figure in NAVI’s campaigns, reaching the semifinals at IEM Katowice 2025 and IEM Cologne 2025, and making another Major playoff appearance at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Statistically, he maintained elite numbers: a high percentage of opening-duel wins, strong clutch conversion rates, and an average rating that consistently placed him among the top AWPers in tier-one competition.
By the age of 20, w0nderful had already earned over $450,000 in career prize money, competed in multiple Major playoffs, and lifted some of Counter-Strike’s most prestigious trophies. His style is measured and methodical—preferring percentage plays and intelligent positioning over unnecessary risks—making him a stabilizing force for NAVI in every match.
With his youth, Major-winning experience, and proven ability to perform against the world’s best, Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov stands as one of the defining AWPers of the CS2 generation and a cornerstone of NAVI’s ambitions for future championships.
