Biography
Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken (born November 14, 1999, Canada) is a professional Counter-Strike 2 player and one of the most accomplished riflers in the history of the game. Known for his mechanical precision, world-class headshot accuracy, and ability to deliver impact in high-pressure situations, Twistzz has been a central figure in multiple championship-winning teams across CS:GO and CS2.
Twistzz began his professional career in 2015, playing for North American squads such as SapphireKelownaDotCom, Tectonic, and AGG, before breaking through internationally with Team SoloMid in 2016. His talent quickly became evident, and in 2017 he joined Team Liquid, where he developed into one of the region’s most reliable stars. During his time with Liquid, Twistzz was part of the roster that dominated in 2019, winning the Intel Grand Slam Season 2 in a record 63 days, along with trophies at prestigious events such as ESL One Cologne 2019, IEM Sydney 2019, and the ESL Pro League.
At the end of 2020, Twistzz made a career-defining move to FaZe Clan, where he reached even greater heights. Playing alongside legends such as karrigan, rain, and broky, he was instrumental in FaZe’s golden era. With FaZe, Twistzz lifted the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 trophy, making history as the first Canadian player to win a CS:GO Major. He also helped secure the Intel Grand Slam Season 4 in 2023, cementing his status as one of the most decorated players in Counter-Strike.
In late 2023, Twistzz returned to Team Liquid, this time as an established superstar bringing championship experience and leadership back to the North American organization. Competing in CS2, he continues to be one of Liquid’s most impactful players, balancing individual brilliance with veteran stability.
Over his career, Twistzz has accumulated more than US$1.2 million in prize earnings, and his style—built on sharp aim, consistency in aim duels, and versatility in different rifle roles—has earned him recognition as one of the best Canadian players in esports history.
