Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek (born December 2, 1998) is a South African professional Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competitor. Widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most prominent esports talents, Sonic currently competes at the highest level internationally, representing the organisation NRG Esports. Known for his sharp rifle mechanics, aggressive entry style and leadership on and off the map, Sonic has become a key figure in South African Counter-Strike history.
Early Career
Sonic began his professional journey in August 2016 when he joined the South African squad Bravado Gaming, marking his entry into the competitive CS:GO scene.
