Mareks Gaļinskis shared an emotional reaction after FURIA Esports lost an instant-classic playoff series against Team Falcons at PGL Astana 2026, calling it the type of match “we play CS for.”

The quarterfinal series became one of the most intense matches of the tournament, featuring multiple overtime battles and momentum swings across all three maps. Falcons eventually secured a 2-1 victory to eliminate FURIA from the event and move on to the semifinals.

Falcons opened the series with a 13-9 win on Mirage before surviving an exhausting four-overtime battle on Nuke, winning 22-20. FURIA answered back on Dust2, but another marathon map ended 19-17 in favor of Falcons.

The loss knocked FURIA out of PGL Astana 2026 in 5th-8th place, while Falcons continued their deep playoff run.

Speaking after the match, YEKINDAR admitted the defeat was painful but said the experience itself reminded him why he loves professional Counter-Strike.
