xertioN Powers MOUZ Into PGL Astana 2026 Semi-Finals With Another MVP-Level Performance

MOUZ advanced to the PGL Astana 2026 semi-finals after defeating Aurora 2-0 in the playoffs, continuing their impressive run with Dorian “xertioN” Berman leading the way once again. The international squad secured the victory with a comeback on Dust2 and a controlled performance on Nuke, extending their strong form at the $1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 event.

The win also marked MOUZ’s second victory over Aurora within four days and further strengthened xertioN’s growing reputation as one of the standout performers of PGL Astana 2026.

xertioN Continues Incredible Form at PGL Astana 2026

xertioN delivered another elite-level series for MOUZ, finishing the quarter-final with 44 kills, 108.4 ADR, 88.9% KAST, and a massive 1.78 Rating 3.0. His performances throughout the tournament have placed him among the highest-rated players at PGL Astana 2026, highlighting the impact of his transition into the in-game leader role.

MOUZ entered the playoffs with momentum after strong group-stage victories over G2 and Gentle Mates, and xertioN has consistently been at the center of the team’s success. Against G2 earlier in the event, he posted a 1.29 rating during a dominant series victory.

MOUZ Complete Dust2 Comeback Against Aurora

Aurora looked in control early on Dust2 after building an 11-5 lead, but MOUZ mounted one of the biggest comebacks of the playoffs. The European squad strung together eight consecutive rounds on the T side to steal the opener 13-11.

xertioN played a key role during the comeback, consistently finding entry kills and creating space for his teammates in late-round situations. His aggressive calling and confidence under pressure have become a defining feature of MOUZ’s new system.

On Nuke, MOUZ carried that momentum into another strong showing. A solid T-side half followed by a successful pistol round allowed them to close the map 13-8 and secure a place in the semi-finals.

xertioN Opens Up About Becoming MOUZ IGL

The tournament has also showcased xertioN’s rapid development as MOUZ’s new in-game leader following recent roster changes. Speaking to HLTV earlier during PGL Astana, the Israeli star admitted he initially worried about how the role would affect his individual level.

“I was a bit worried I would be this IGL that is just a burden, but so far I’m feeling pretty comfortable,” xertioN said.

He also explained that the role has unexpectedly improved his understanding of the game and communication with teammates.

“It’s only been two weeks since I took over the role, but I think it has been a blessing so far.”

jL and xelex Strengthen New-Look MOUZ Roster

MOUZ’s recent roster additions have also become one of the biggest talking points of the tournament. Justinas “jL” Lekavicius returned to tier-one Counter-Strike on loan and immediately brought experience and confidence to the lineup.

Before the playoffs, jL described the move as an important opportunity for both sides.

“It’s a good chance for MOUZ to try me out. If they don’t like it, they’re not gonna go for me, and vice versa.”

Meanwhile, Adrian “xelex” Vincze praised xertioN’s leadership style and adaptation to the IGL role.

“He’s an absolutely crazy IGL,” xelex said during the event.

Aurora’s PGL Astana Playoff Run Comes to an End

Despite the loss, Aurora impressed throughout the tournament and reached the playoffs after dramatic comeback victories during the group stage. The team previously defeated The MongolZ in a decisive qualification match and showed resilience throughout the event.

Aurora player Caner “soulfly” Kesici previously admitted that the earlier defeat to MOUZ helped motivate the squad ahead of the playoffs.

“The MOUZ game kinda gave a slap to everyone,” soulfly said after Aurora secured a playoff spot.

MOUZ Eye PGL Astana 2026 Grand Final

With the victory over Aurora, MOUZ now move one step closer to the PGL Astana 2026 grand final and continue to establish themselves as one of the hottest teams in Counter-Strike 2.

The combination of xertioN’s explosive individual form, improved leadership, and the integration of jL has transformed MOUZ into a serious title contender heading into the final stages of the tournament.
