XANTARES Shines as Aurora Defeat FURIA, Clinch Playoff Spot at FISSURE Playground 2

Aurora have secured their spot in the playoffs of FISSURE Playground 2 after a convincing 2-0 win over FURIA in the Swiss group stage. 

Turkish rifler Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş was the standout performer of the series, finishing with a 1.74 rating, +9.48% Round-Swing, 113.5 ADR, and 45 kills — ten more than the team’s second-best.

Map Details

• On Inferno, Aurora dominated early despite losing a force-buy round that gave FURIA a 4-1 lead. With leadership from Özgür “woxic” Eker to start, Aurora eventually pulled away, thanks in large part to XANTARES’ superlative performance.

• On Dust2, Aurora climbed back from a deficit. FURIA took the lead 9-6 thanks to some strong plays (including a triple kill by Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato in a pistol round). But Aurora responded aggressively, with several multi-kills by XANTARES and woxic, shutting down FURIA’s pushes in the middle and dismantling B-site defenses. They conceded only two more rounds before closing the map 13-11.
