Twistzz: “As long as belief stays strong, we’ll keep getting closer to showing our true potential” – FaZe Star Reflects After Budapest Major Win

Budapest, December 12, 2025 –
FaZe Clan continue to defy expectations at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, securing a convincing 2–0 victory over MOUZ and moving a win away from a playoff berth. After the match, Canadian rifler Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken highlighted the importance of belief and preparation in FaZe’s resurgence at the event.

FaZe entered the series with momentum after surviving a close Stage 1 elimination scenario, and their performance on Nuke and Inferno showcased both tactical readiness and mental resilience. Twistzz praised the team’s preparation, singling out their disciplined approach as a key factor in neutralizing MOUZ’s strategic depth.

We have to believe in ourselves and believe in what we’re doing here. As long as people continue believing, I think we’ll get closer to seeing how good we can be,” Twistzz said when asked how far he feels FaZe can go in the tournament. His remarks reflect a group mentality focused on growth and confidence rather than external expectations.

Twistzz also touched on individual performances, noting that teammates like broky reached a high level of comfort and communication after adapting to recent tactical changes. According to Twistzz, this collective progress is part of what has turned FaZe into a more dangerous squad as the Major progresses.

The win also snapped FaZe’s recent losing streak against MOUZ, showcasing that the team has adjusted since earlier defeats and learned from past encounters. With one more win, FaZe will lock in a playoff spot, where they are expected to be underdogs but still capable of surprising outcomes.

In related developments, MOUZ coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen commented on his own team’s future following their exit from the Budapest playoffs, stressing that they will continue focusing on progress and next steps despite falling short of expectations.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, a veteran Canadian rifler known for his consistency and high-level play, has been a key figure in FaZe’s lineup since his return earlier this season, bringing experience and firepower to the team’s roster.
