The MongolZ Reach CAC Playoffs as PARIVISION’s Struggles Deepen
The MongolZ kept their CS Asia Championships 2026 campaign alive with a decisive 2-0 victory over PARIVISION in the Group B lower bracket final, punching their ticket to the playoffs while extending PARIVISION’s worrying run of poor results.
The Mongolian squad rebounded well after narrowly missing direct qualification earlier in the tournament. Just two days before the elimination series, The MongolZ had fallen 1-2 to B8 in the upper-bracket semifinal, losing a close three-map affair that denied them an immediate playoff berth. Despite that setback, the team recovered in the lower bracket and once again showed the resilience that has made them one of Asia’s strongest representatives over the last year.
Their path through Shanghai began with a dominant opening win against Lynn Vision, where they crushed the Chinese side 13-3 on Ancient in the opening best-of-one. However, losses against B8 forced them into the elimination bracket, where they ultimately found form at the right moment against PARIVISION.
For PARIVISION, the defeat marked another disappointing chapter in what has become an increasingly unstable period for the roster. The CIS squad arrived at CAC looking to stabilize after several inconsistent LAN performances, but instead exited the tournament before the playoffs despite surviving an earlier elimination series against Lynn Vision.
Against The MongolZ, PARIVISION struggled to maintain momentum throughout the series. The veto saw PARIVISION select Dust2 while The MongolZ opted for Mirage, with Ancient left as the decider, though the match never reached a third map. The Mongolian side controlled the pace across the series and capitalized on PARIVISION’s defensive inconsistencies, continuing a trend that has plagued Jame’s squad throughout the event.
The result further highlights the contrasting trajectories of both teams heading into the summer portion of the Counter-Strike season. The MongolZ continue to establish themselves as a consistent playoff contender at international LAN events, having already built momentum through multiple deep tournament runs over the past year. PARIVISION, meanwhile, remain stuck searching for stability despite roster experience and flashes of individual quality.
The victory also adds to a strong showing for Asian Counter-Strike at CAC, where several regional teams managed competitive performances against international opposition. The MongolZ now advance into the playoff stage alongside teams such as MIBR, Falcons, and MOUZ, who also secured playoff spots during the group stage.
With the playoffs approaching, The MongolZ will look to convert their lower-bracket survival run into a deeper championship push, while PARIVISION leave Shanghai facing even more questions about the future direction of the project.
