Team Spirit have climbed back into the top five of the official Valve CS2 ranking, while Team Falcons moved up to third place after their deep run at IEM Rio 2026.

The latest ranking update places Team Vitality firmly at No. 1, followed by Natus Vincere at No. 2. Falcons now sit at No. 3, while Spirit’s improvement sees them return to No. 5 globally.

Spirit’s Resurgence Fueled by IEM Rio Grand Final Run

Team Spirit’s rise in the CS2 world rankings comes after an impressive campaign in Rio, where they reached the grand final of IEM Rio 2026.

Their playoff run included a confident 2-0 victory over Falcons in the semi-finals, showcasing a more structured and aggressive playstyle compared to earlier events this season.

Despite falling short in the final, Spirit’s performance confirmed their return to elite form after a period of inconsistency.

Speaking ahead of the grand final, Boris Vorobiev (magixx) highlighted the team’s progress:

“We’re playing pretty good.”

He also acknowledged the challenge of facing the world’s top team:

“Maybe we can win a map… but we might still get humbled.”
