Team Nemesis Enters Counter‑Strike 2 with New European Lineup
Team Nemesis, a UK‑based multinational esports organisation launched in early 2025 by former Into the Breach management, has officially entered Counter‑Strike 2 with a fresh European roster.
Leading the squad are UK veterans Thomas “Thomas” Utting and James “bevve” Slinn—the pair previously teamed up under Into the Breach. Thomas, a seasoned in‑game leader, guided his former team to the quarter‑finals at the 2023 BLAST.tv Paris Major, while bevve brings extensive UK competitive experience and a stabilisingpr esence on and off the server.
Joining them are rising talents Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel (Netherlands), Roberts “Frip” Poļakovs (Latvia), and Dawid “tein” Śladkowski (Poland). CRUC1AL adds high‑level AWPing experience, while Frip and tein are seen as the next wave of European academy prospects, with Frip ranked among the top six on FACEIT Europe with an ELO around 4,240.
At the helm stands Swedish coach Robin “robiin” Sjögren, just appointed and known for his tactical leadership. His appointment aligns with Nemesis’ strategy to build a balanced roster combining experience and youth Nemesis CEO Chris “Momo” Evans, herself formerly part of the ITB management team, commented:
“Thomas has a proven track record building cost‑effective yet competitive rosters. bevve adds much‑needed stability and a positive anchor. Adding CRUC1AL is a statement—his high‑level experience brings legitimacy and structure. Frip and tein represent the next generation, young and hungry.”
Although the roster is unveiled, Nemesis has yet to confirm specific tournament participation. As a brand‑new CS2 team, they currently lack a Valve Regional Standings (VRS) position and must compete in at least five official HLTV matches to receive a world ranking and begin their climb into the global Top 32.
Founded in January 2025 by ex‑ITB staff with strong ties to the UK domestic scene, Nemesis has rapidly expanded across multiple titles including Apex Legends, Halo, Dota 2, and CS2. Their Dota 2 roster has already qualified for The International with a multi‑million‑dollar prize pool opportunity.
This marks Nemesis's first official venture into Counter‑Strike 2, blending legacy British stars with promising new faces from across Europe. With no matches played yet as of late July 2025, all eyes are on their debut performances as they attempt to establish world ranking and build momentum in CS2.
