StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 schedule revealed

Tournament organiser StarLadder has unveiled the full schedule for the upcoming Major in Budapest, which marks a key milestone in the Counter‑Strike 2 scene. 

The event is set to take place from 24 November through 14 December 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. The tournament will feature 32 teams and a total prize pool of approximately US $1.25 million. 

Schedule and format

• Stage 1 will run from 24 – 27 November and will include the first phase of competition.

• Stage 2 is scheduled for 29 November – 2 December.

• Stage 3 will take place 4 – 7 December.

• After a brief break, the Playoffs will run up to 14 December, with the Grand Final set for that concluding date.

Match timings have also been confirmed: early rounds will begin at 13:00 CET (1 pm CET) for the opening days, with later stages and playoff rounds starting in the afternoon or evening to accommodate global viewership. 

A major change: starting with this event, the Grand Final at the Budapest Major will adopt a best-of-five (BO5) format, elevating the championship match to a more extended, dramatic showdown. 

Venues
The tournament will span two main venues in Budapest: the early grouped stages will take place at MTK Sportpark, while the Playoffs and Grand Final will be held at the larger MVM Dome.
