Main Storylines

The clearest message from the final group-stage day came from Spirit. Fresh from winning the Esports World Cup, they completed their Copenhagen campaign without dropping a map and removed another potential title rival in FURIA from the direct semi-final race.

MOUZ's route was more complicated. Falcons dominated Nuke and appeared capable of taking control of Group B, but MOUZ completely changed the series on Ancient and Inferno. Their CT setups repeatedly denied Falcons space, turning what began as a one-sided defeat into an equally convincing reverse sweep.

G2's survival was far more dramatic. Aurora won Anubis and reached the brink of closing Inferno, only for G2 to force overtime and eventually take the map 19-16. The psychological effect was immediate: after Aurora won the opening pistol on Mirage, G2 claimed the next 13 rounds without reply.

Spirit entered the Group A upper final with a semi-final berth on the line and maintained the form that had defined their run through Copenhagen.

FURIA were competitive on Ancient but never found a reliable answer to Spirit's individuals, while Cache quickly became far more one-sided.

Ancient — Spirit 13-10

Spirit chose Ancient and again showed why the map has become one of their strongest weapons.

Danil "donk" Kryshkovets recorded 17 kills during the opening half as Spirit established control. FURIA kept the map alive long enough to make the final score respectable, but they were unable to complete the comeback.

The victory extended Spirit's unbeaten run on Ancient to 13 matches dating back to March.

Cache — Spirit 13-5

Any hope of FURIA forcing Mirage disappeared quickly on Cache.

Andrey "tN1R" Tatarinovich provided a key early moment with a Tec-9 clutch and helped Spirit establish another commanding T-side advantage. Once Spirit switched to defense, FURIA found almost no route back into the map.

G2 managed only three rounds on their opening T side, leaving themselves with too much ground to recover after the switch. Aurora stayed composed and converted their advantage into a 13-7 victory.

Inferno — G2 19-16

Inferno became the defining map of the series.

G2 opened with six straight rounds but Aurora gradually worked their way back, with Özgür "woxic" Eker producing consecutive four-kill rounds as his team moved toward victory.

Nuke — Falcons 13-6

Anubis — Vitality 13-7

FUT initially looked competitive.

cmtry helped them build early momentum, and a 3v5 conversion contributed to a 4-2 advantage. The map changed when ZywOo turned an eco round into a 1v3 clutch.

Vitality reached halftime level at 6-6 before taking complete control on the T side. jL, ZywOo and apEX repeatedly punished FUT's attempts to play aggressively on defense, and Vitality won seven of the next eight rounds to close the map.

Dust2 — Vitality 13-8

Vitality carried their momentum directly into Dust2.

apEX continued to find opening and multi-kill impact while FUT struggled to make their aggressive approach work, allowing Vitality to establish a 9-3 halftime advantage.
