Sources: Senzu Considering Move to Primary AWPer Role While Exploring New Team Options
Mongolian Counter-Strike 2 talent Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold is exploring a potential role change to become a primary AWPer as he pursues opportunities with a new team, multiple sources familiar with the matter have confirmed to HLTV.
After being benched by The MongolZ in October 2025, Senzu has been made available for offers, with the organization indicating that they are willing to listen to transfer interest from other teams. The 19-year-old expressed a desire to continue his career on an international roster and is prepared to return to competition straight away.
The MongolZ recently bolstered their lineup by signing Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar, while Unudelger “controlez” Baasanjargal had been serving as a stand-in during the final events of the 2025 season.
Transition to AWP Role
In a transfer market where high-impact AWPers are in short supply, sources say that Senzu’s openness to switching roles could increase his attractivity to prospective teams. However, moving from a rifle role to being a primary AWPer is not without its challenges — such a transition typically requires time for practice and adaptation.
During his time with The MongolZ, Senzu occasionally picked up the AWP, making up around six percent of his total kills with the weapon. One of his most notable AWP moments came at the PGL Cluj-Napoca Major, where he scored an ace on Inferno against Wildcard while using the sniper rifle.
Transfer Talk and Rumors
Over recent days there have been rumors linking Senzu to a move to Natus Vincere (NAVI), but sources have made it clear that these speculations are unfounded and hold no real backing.
At the moment, interest in Senzu’s services appears to be limited, partly because many top CS2 teams have already finalized their rosters for the upcoming season. Nonetheless, his willingness to adapt — including a potential role switch — could make him an interesting target, especially for teams looking to cultivate talent in one of CS2’s most impactful positions.
