Passion UA Confirm hallzerk Benched as try and Senzu Join the CS2 Lineup

Ukrainian esports organization Passion UA have officially announced that Norwegian AWPer Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli has been moved off their active Counter-Strike 2 roster following recent roster upgrades.

The benching comes after Passion UA completed high-profile signings on February 13, bringing in Argentinian sniper Santino “try” Rigal from Imperial Esports and Mongolian rifler Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold — the latter joining on loan after a stint on The MongolZ’s bench.

Hallzerk’s Departure

hallzerk’s departure from the starting five ends a three-plus year partnership with teammates Michael “Grim” Wince and Johnny “JT” Theodosiou, who originally came together under the now-defunct Complexity organization before transitioning to Passion UA in mid-2025.

During his tenure with the squad, the Norwegian sniper competed in four CS2 Major events and played a key role in qualifying for a fifth — although visa issues prevented him from attending the latter. Over his time wearing Passion UA colors, hallzerk posted a 1.06 rating across over 1,200 maps.

With the arrival of try and Senzu, hallzerk has been shifted to an inactive/bench role, and Passion UA have not yet specified which other player will make way for Senzu in the active five.

Updated Passion UA Roster

As it stands, Passion UA’s squad now features a blend of international talent:

  • Johnny “JT” Theodosiou (South Africa) — IGL

  • Michael “Grim” Wince (USA)

  • Nick “nicx” Lee (USA)

  • Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol (Ukraine)

  • Santino “try” Rigal (Argentina) — New signing

  • Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold (Mongolia) — New addition

  • Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen — Coach

  • Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli — Benched/Inative

The reshuffle represents Passion UA’s continued efforts to evolve their roster after a mixed competitive run, including multiple LAN appearances and international events.

Background Context

This is the continuation of a broader organizational shift that began in mid-2025, when Passion UA acquired the former Complexity CS2 roster — including hallzerk — following Complexity’s exit from Counter-Strike after more than two decades.

Additionally, recent reports suggest North American organization NRG are in advanced talks to sign Grim, potentially adding further movement around Passion UA’s lineup in the near future.

Summary

Passion UA have confirmed the benching of seasoned AWPer hallzerk after their roster revamp involving try and Senzu. The Norwegian’s long stint with the squad — spanning former Complexity days through multiple Majors — has concluded as the Ukrainian org seeks new competitive heights.
