NAVI Defeat GamerLegion 2-0 to Reach Texas Semi-Finals

Natus Vincere delivered a commanding performance in Texas, securing a direct spot in the semi-finals of BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1 after a confident 2-0 victory over GamerLegion. The series, played as a Group B seeding match, ended with scores of 13-10 on Mirage and 13-4 on Ancient, underlining NAVI’s strong form heading into the playoffs. 

Although the opening map appeared relatively competitive on paper, the flow of the game suggested otherwise. NAVI maintained control throughout Mirage, largely thanks to the standout performance of Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov. The Ukrainian AWPer produced one of his best individual displays of the year, dominating the early stages with a series of multi-kill rounds. His impact was especially evident in the first half, where he consistently found opening picks and helped his team build momentum. 

GamerLegion managed to stay within reach for a time, even leveling the score at 5-5 through isolated clutch plays and individual efforts. However, their resistance proved short-lived. NAVI’s structure and firepower—particularly the synergy between w0nderful and Drin “makazze” Shaqiri—allowed them to regain control before halftime. After switching sides, NAVI quickly extended their lead by securing the pistol round and converting the follow-up, leaving GamerLegion struggling to recover economically. 

The decisive moments of Mirage once again revolved around w0nderful, who delivered crucial clutch plays, including a 1v2 that halted GamerLegion’s comeback attempts. He later sealed the map with a dominant AWP performance, highlighting his consistency and composure under pressure. 

If Mirage showed NAVI’s control, Ancient demonstrated outright dominance. GamerLegion were unable to keep pace as NAVI took over the map from the outset. makazze played a key role in this phase, leading the charge with aggressive rifling and high-impact entries, while w0nderful continued to contribute with both the AWP and rifles. The duo’s coordination overwhelmed GamerLegion’s defenses, resulting in a one-sided half and an even more decisive finish. 

By the second half of Ancient, the outcome was all but decided. NAVI’s individuals continued to win duels across the map, and contributions from players like Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy ensured that GamerLegion had no opportunity to mount a comeback. The 13-4 scoreline reflected NAVI’s complete control over the server. 

This victory not only secured NAVI a place in the semi-finals but also positioned them on the opposite side of the playoff bracket from Vitality, raising the possibility of a high-profile final between the two teams. In the semi-finals, they faced FaZe and once again emerged victorious with a 2-0 result, winning 13-5 on Dust2 and narrowly closing out Ancient 13-11. Despite a brief scare on the second map, NAVI maintained composure in the late rounds to avoid overtime and secure a place in the grand final. 

Across both matches, w0nderful remained one of the most influential players on the server. His ability to deliver key multi-kills, clutch situations, and consistent opening duels played a central role in NAVI’s success. Notably, he also produced highlight moments such as a 1v4 clutch during the FaZe series, further emphasizing his impact during the event.
