NAVI defeat B8 2–0 to reach Budapest Major playoffs

Natus Vincere have secured a Budapest Major 2025 playoff spot after defeating B8 2–0 (13–4 Ancient, 16–14 Train) in the final 2–2 decider. The win sends NAVI into a quarter-final matchup against world No.1 FURIA, while B8’s impressive run ends just before the arena stage.

NAVI were led by w0nderful (1.46 rating) and iM (1.35), while rookie makazze dominated Ancient with a 1.72 rating. The 18-year-old opened the series with four USP-S kills in the pistol round, helping NAVI race to a commanding lead. Train proved far closer, with B8 forcing overtime through late-round heroics from alex666, but NAVI closed the map 16–14 behind Aleksib’s entries in the final round.

The victory caps NAVI’s turbulent Stage 3 run (3–2), where they beat PARIVISION and paiN but fell to FURIA and Vitality. The team previously swept Stage 2 with wins over FlyQuest, Imperial, and B8.

B8 exit the event after a notable campaign that began in Stage 1 and included wins over Falcons and paiN. The team played their final matches without coach maddened due to visa issues. After the elimination, headtr1ck described 2025 as “a positive year” for the squad and emphasized that their next step is “to reach playoffs of a big event.”

NAVI now prepare for a high-stakes showdown with FURIA, setting up one of the most anticipated quarter-finals of the Major.
