MOUZ Beat MIBR to Secure Bronze at CS Asia Championships 2026
MOUZ finished their campaign at the CS Asia Championships 2026 with a convincing victory over MIBR, securing third place after a dominant 2-0 series win in Shanghai.
The European squad delivered one of their strongest performances of the tournament, crushing MIBR 13-3 on Overpass before closing the series 13-1 on Ancient. The result marks consecutive bronze-medal finishes for MOUZ following their recent podium appearance at PGL Astana.
xertioN Continues Strong Form as MOUZ IGL
Dorian 'xertioN' Berman once again led the way for MOUZ. The Israeli rifler and newly appointed in-game leader produced a massive 1.94 rating across the series, ending the match with 33 kills, 112.9 ADR, and 96.7% KAST.
According to HLTV statistics, xertioN has maintained elite-level form since taking over leadership duties, averaging a 1.31 rating during MOUZ’s recent roster transition. His impact has quickly become one of the biggest storylines surrounding the team ahead of the upcoming Major season.
jL Impresses During Final Match With MOUZ
Justinas 'jL' Lekavicius also played a crucial role in the victory. The Lithuanian star finished the series with 31 kills and 107.7 ADR in what was his final appearance for MOUZ before returning to Natus Vincere as a substitute ahead of the Major.
The temporary move gave MOUZ valuable flexibility during their roster rebuild while allowing jL to gain additional stage experience. MOUZ are expected to reintegrate Ludvig 'Brollan' Brolin into the active lineup before Cologne.
MOUZ Roster Changes Showing Early Promise
The organization introduced major roster changes earlier this year, benching Brollan and Jimi 'Jimpphat' Salo while promoting Adrian 'xelex' Vincze from MOUZ NXT. At the same time, xertioN assumed in-game leadership responsibilities.
Following the team’s bronze-medal finish, Ádám 'torzsi' Torzsás said MOUZ had achieved their short-term goals with the new lineup.
“We got ten wins with the new lineup in the last two weeks and we’re proud of that,” torzsi said in a post-match interview.
The AWPer also praised both jL and xelex for adapting quickly to the system during a difficult transition period.
Earlier in the month, xertioN admitted he initially feared becoming “a burden” as an in-game leader but said he now feels increasingly comfortable in the role after several official matches.
MIBR Leave Shanghai With Positive Signs
Despite the heavy defeat, MIBR still leave the tournament with momentum after reaching the semifinals with wins over 3DMAX, PARIVISION, and B8.
Felipe 'insani' Yuji previously described the Brazilian side as “renewed and much improved” following an intensive bootcamp ahead of the event.
The team’s playoff appearance continues a promising upward trend as MIBR prepare for the next stretch of international competition.
What’s Next for MOUZ?
MOUZ now turn their attention toward Cologne and the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 Major cycle. With xertioN thriving as IGL, torzsi remaining consistent, and the roster beginning to stabilize, the organization appears to be building momentum at the perfect time.
However, questions still remain about the long-term structure of the lineup once Brollan fully returns and the team finalizes its post-loan roster plans.
For now, MOUZ leave Shanghai with another podium finish — and growing belief that their rebuilt CS2 roster can compete with the world’s best teams.
