Metizport appoint former Wildcard coach vinS as head coach of CS2 roster
Swedish organization Metizport has named 27-year-old Polish coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak as head coach of its Counter-Strike 2 lineup, continuing the club’s rapid pivot toward an international project. The move comes as vinS replaces outgoing coach Ahmed “abdi” Abdi, whose departure at the end of 2025 had already been announced by the club.
“We’re proud to welcome vinS as the new head coach of our CS2 team,” Metizport said in its announcement, stressing that his experience will shape the team’s next chapter.
Part of a wider international overhaul
The coaching change is the latest step in a broader restructuring of Metizport’s CS2 division. In late October, the club benched long-time AWPer Lucas “L00m1” Haukland ahead of his contract expiry and accepted Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora’s request for an indefinite break due to personal reasons.
At the same time, Metizport made clear it no longer wants to remain a purely Swedish lineup, publicly committing to an international direction. In the organization’s own words, “We are no longer aiming to operate only with players from Sweden, but are moving towards an international approach.”
The club also set its ambitions high for the coming season: they explicitly aim to qualify for another Major in 2026 and become a contender not just in Europe but worldwide.
Recent roster moves: nawwk and Dragon in, abdi out
vinS arrives just days after Metizport signed Tim “nawwk” Jonasson and Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic to complete its late-2025 lineup.
nawwk joined as a free agent after leaving BC.Game in June and has signed with Metizport until the end of the year.
Dragon is on loan from Partizan for the remainder of 2025, with Metizport holding a fixed buyout option should they wish to keep him for 2026.
Metizport had already confirmed that abdi would leave when his contract expires in December, which opened the door for a new head coach.
According to HLTV’s team overview, Metizport’s current CS2 roster is:
Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson
Isak “isak” Fahlén
Liam “MaiL09” Tügel
Tim “nawwk” Jonasson
Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic (on loan)
Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak (head coach)
The team currently sits around #150 in HLTV’s world ranking, underscoring the scale of the rebuild Metizport is attempting.
vinS’ track record with Wildcard
Before joining Metizport, vinS spent roughly 16 months as head coach of Wildcard, a North American organization he parted ways with in October 2025.
Under his guidance, Wildcard:
Qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major and BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Reached the Legends Stage in Shanghai.
Collected several online titles over the course of his tenure.
His impact was highlighted during the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1, where Wildcard famously crushed Metizport 13–1 on Nuke on their way to a deep run through the opening stage.
After that event, Wildcard in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz publicly credited vinS for one of the team’s most iconic moments:
It was a call by our coach vinS to put JBa in Heaven with the Deagle.
That round produced Joshua “JBa” Barutt’s famous Deagle 4K against Lynn Vision and became one of the standout highlights of Wildcard’s Austin campaign.
From Swedish revival to international rebuild
Metizport’s current overhaul caps off nearly two years of evolution for the organization’s CS2 project. The club first stepped into the broader spotlight in early 2024, when a then-Swedish lineup shocked the scene at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown with upset wins over Falcons (featuring s1mple) and Monte.
That roster leaned heavily on domestic talent such as adamb, susp, Jackinho, ztr, and nilo, and was framed as part of a potential “Swedish revival” in CS2.
In 2025, Metizport began a more systematic rebuild:
They benched Hampus “hampus” Poser and parted ways with Adam “adamb” Ångström, then signed Jackinho and 16-year-old prodigy Liam “MaiL09” Tügel. Jackinho returned to the org as in-game leader after stints with CPH Wolves, Lilmix, and others.
MaiL09 arrived from Johnny Speeds, where he had averaged a strong rating and starred at the Subway Suberior League Winter 2025 LAN.
Despite those moves and a Major qualification in 2025, Metizport’s own management admitted that results were inconsistent and that issues in team dynamics became apparent—most notably around their performance at the BLAST.tv Austin Major and earlier failed qualifiers such as Elisa Nordic Championship 2025.
This led to the October statement from the club’s sports department, announcing the benching of L00m1, abdi’s contract expiring without renewal, and Plopski’s decision to step back, plus a clear commitment to bring in non-Swedish talent.
What Metizport are building around vinS
With the arrival of vinS and the signings of nawwk and Dragon, Metizport finally have both the international core and the experienced coach they had been looking for since announcing their strategic shift.
The project now combines:
-
Young Swedish talents (MaiL09, isak)
-
Established names returning to form (Jackinho, nawwk, Plopski when/if he returns)
-
International pieces like Dragon
-
A coach with recent Major-level experience and proven calling impact (vinS)
Metizport’s stated goal is to turn this mix into a squad capable of returning to the Major circuit in 2026 and competing deep in European events, rather than simply acting as a feeder team for larger organizations.
