M80 Complete Perfect Run to Win fl0m’s Mythical LAN, Sweeping NRG in the Grand Final

M80 have emerged as the undisputed champions of fl0m’s Mythical LAN, completing the tournament with a perfect undefeated record and without dropping a single map throughout the event.

The Las Vegas-based LAN, held from January 9–12, featured eight North American teams competing offline for a $30,000 prize pool. In addition to the financial incentive, the tournament served as a valuable early-season proving ground for rosters preparing for upcoming VRS-relevant competitions and international qualifiers.

A Statement Run from Start to Finish

M80 entered the event among the favorites and consistently lived up to expectations. Their campaign began with a 2-0 victory over regain, where they immediately established control with disciplined defaults and strong mid-round calling. That momentum carried into their second group match, as M80 secured another clean sweep against BOSS, locking in a playoff berth without showing structural weaknesses.

Advancing to the playoffs, M80 faced Voca in the semi-finals. The series once again ended 2-0, with M80 displaying superior utility usage and late-round composure, reinforcing their status as the most complete lineup at the event.

Grand Final: One-Sided Affair Against NRG

The grand final pitted M80 against NRG, one of the most established organizations in North American Counter-Strike. Despite expectations of a competitive series, the final proved largely one-sided.

M80 claimed the opener on Mirage, maintaining control across both halves before closing the map without allowing NRG to build momentum. The series culminated on Dust2, where M80 delivered a dominant 13-1 victory, sealing the championship in emphatic fashion and underlining the gap in form on the day.

With the win, M80 concluded the tournament on a flawless 8-0 map record, the only team at the event to finish undefeated.

Individual Impact

While M80 operated with strong collective cohesion, Mason “Lake” Sanderson stood out statistically across the tournament. His consistent rifle impact and opening duel success played a key role in enabling M80’s structured approach, particularly during the playoff stage.
