m0NESY Opens Up About Regaining Form After Struggles in G2 and Falcons

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov has shared insights into his journey back to form following his transition from G2 Esports to Team Falcons. In a recent interview, he acknowledged that both his time at G2 and his early days with Falcons felt off, attributing this to a lack of comfort and confidence. He emphasized the importance of regaining his previous level of play, stating, "I don't know, something was off for me when I joined Falcons and also when I was in G2." He further noted that discussions with teammates, such as Danny "zonic" Sørensen, helped him address these concerns and find his rhythm again.

Falcons' in-game leader, Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, also commented on m0NESY's resurgence, highlighting the team's efforts to ensure he felt the freedom to play his game. He mentioned that at one point, m0NESY might have felt restricted due to the team's dynamics, but reassured him that he still had the liberty to make impactful plays. This approach has contributed to m0NESY's return to peak performance.

Teammate René "TeSeS" Madsen expressed confidence in m0NESY's potential, stating that once he fully regains his form, he will reach new heights in his career. TeSeS believes that m0NESY's best days are ahead of him.

Reflecting on his time with G2, m0NESY recalled the frustration following the team's early exit at IEM Katowice, which motivated him to dedicate himself to improvement. He mentioned, "I was very pissed after Katowice," and resolved to sacrifice all his time to become better.

Since joining Falcons in April 2025, m0NESY has been instrumental in the team's success, including a victory over G2 in the PGL Bucharest grand final, securing their first LAN trophy in Counter-Strike.

Currently, Falcons are ranked #7 globally, with m0NESY maintaining a 1.23 rating over the past three months, underscoring his significant contribution to the team's achievements.
