What changed?

Luminosity's permanent coaching situation also remains unclear. Alexander "kakafu" Szymanczyk stayed with the former Monte group for their debut at XSE Pro League, but Luminosity had not announced him as their permanent head coach when the roster was unveiled, and HLTV's current team page does not list a coach.

A very short Luminosity spell for Bymas

Bymas' active stint under the Luminosity banner lasted just 54 days according to HLTV's roster timeline, with only eight maps played for the organization.

Across those maps, the Lithuanian recorded a 0.84 Rating 3.0. That number was below the level he had produced during stronger periods with Monte, although it is important not to isolate one player's statistics from a team that struggled across the board after the summer rebuild.

How Luminosity got here

The contrast with the roster's form before joining Luminosity is substantial.

Rainwaker, Bymas, afro and AZUWU were part of a Monte lineup that spent the first half of 2026 building momentum under Gizmy and kakafu. Monte won CCT Global Finals in April, beating HEROIC 3-1 in the grand final, and later advanced through Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major with a 3-2 record.

Their Major run eventually ended in Stage 3 after losses to Aurora, Falcons and The MongolZ, but reaching that phase was enough to establish the roster as one of the year's more successful tier-two projects.
