Liquid Cruise into CAC Playoffs After Defeating MIBR

Team Liquid have secured a place in the playoffs of the CS Asia Championships 2025 after sweeping MIBR 2-0 in their upper bracket semi-final encounter (Mirage 13–5, Nuke 13–5). This marks one of the team’s first major achievements since Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski returned to the lineup. 

From start to finish, Liquid controlled the series. On Nuke, MIBR showed signs of life during a five-round offensive run after losing the pistol, but beyond that stretch, the Brazilian side managed only three gun rounds across both maps. 

MIBR’s two newest additions—Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev and Aleksei “Qikert” Golubev—struggled to make an impact, combining for just 30 kills in the series, which is fewer than what Guy “NertZ” Iluz or Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak tallied on their own. 

In the upcoming stage, Liquid will face the winner of 3DMAX vs. Legacy for a direct semi-final spot, while MIBR will drop into the lower bracket, beginning their run against Virtus.pro. 

It’s been a strong opening for Liquid at CAC — earlier in the day they defeated GamerLegion in a best-of-one to punch their playoff ticket.
