Legacy sweep G2 to win FISSURE Playground 3 as latto dominates grand final

Legacy completed an unbeaten run through FISSURE Playground 3 with a commanding 3-0 victory over G2 in the best-of-five grand final, adding another Chinese trophy to a collection that already included their CAC 2025 and 2026 titles.

The Brazilian side won Ancient 13-9, survived G2’s attempted comeback on Mirage 13-10, and then turned Dust2 into a rout, closing the series 13-4. The final was competitive for stretches of the opening two maps, but the overall difference was clear: Legacy consistently found more impact across the server, while Bruno "latto" Rebelatto produced his best series of the tournament at exactly the right time.

latto finished the three maps with 69 kills against only 34 deaths, 102.9 ADR, 80.6% KAST and a 1.67 HLTV Rating 3.0. He topped Legacy's scoreboard on every map and peaked with a 2.25 rating in the 13-4 Dust2 closer.

For G2, Guy "NertZ" Iluz was the one player consistently capable of matching Legacy's output. He recorded 51 kills, 107.7 ADR and a 1.23 rating despite the sweep. At the other end of the scoreboard, Artem "r1nkle" Moroz endured a difficult final, ending with 26-43, 44.9 ADR and a 0.63 rating.

The numbers underline how differently the two teams produced their firepower. Legacy had three players above a 1.10 rating and four at 1.04 or better. G2, by contrast, had only NertZ above 1.01, leaving too much of the offensive burden on one player.

Ancient slips away from G2 after a promising first half

Ancient was the closest G2 came to taking control of the final.

Legacy opened their own map pick with a 5-2 advantage, but G2 responded with five consecutive rounds to finish their CT half ahead 7-5. A second-half pistol extended that momentum, only for Legacy's force-buy response to immediately disrupt G2's economy and change the direction of the map.

Legacy then strung together five rounds to move 10-8 ahead. G2 briefly stopped the run, but latto provided another crucial intervention at 10-9, finding two kills in a 3v3 to keep Legacy in front. The Brazilians did not concede another round, closing Ancient 13-9 with an 8-2 T-side half.

latto was already setting the tone for his final at that point. He posted 23-12, 106.3 ADR and a 1.57 rating, while Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira added an 18-11 performance and a 1.42 rating. G2's best resistance came from Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, who finished Ancient at 1.24.

The map was particularly damaging for G2 because they had reached an 8-5 advantage and still lost eight of the final nine rounds.

Legacy's Mirage defense puts G2 against the wall

Mirage was G2's opportunity to level the final, but Legacy immediately seized control of their opponent's pick.

Santino "try" Rigal opened the map with a four-kill USP round before adding an AWP triple from short during Legacy's early defensive run. The Brazilians surged to 5-0 and eventually carried a 9-3 advantage into halftime.

r1nkle's 1v2 in the final round of the half at least gave G2 something to work with, and the European side did make the map competitive after the switch. Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač produced an ace in round 17 as G2 closed the gap, but Legacy repeatedly answered whenever their opponents threatened to complete the comeback.

latto again became the difference-maker as Legacy eventually closed the map 13-10. He finished Mirage with 22 kills and a 1.39 rating, while Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer delivered his strongest map of the final at 20-13 and a 1.30 rating. n1ssim was not far behind at 1.29.

NertZ did everything he reasonably could to keep G2 alive, producing 20 kills, 117.2 ADR and a 1.27 rating. huNter- also recovered to a 1.10, but MATYS and r1nkle remained below 0.80.

That distribution became increasingly important. Legacy no longer needed latto to create every advantage; dumau and n1ssim were both supplying enough pressure to prevent G2 from focusing on a single source of firepower.

latto turns Dust2 into a championship lap

Any possibility of a long best-of-five disappeared on Dust2.

Legacy started their second map pick with another 5-0 run, this time on the T side, and carried an 8-4 advantage into halftime. G2 failed to win a single round after the switch as Legacy rattled off five consecutive CT rounds to finish the map 13-4 and the series 3-0.

latto saved his most dominant map for last.

The 23-year-old went 24-8 with 131.6 ADR, a +11.50% round swing and a remarkable 2.25 rating. try provided another major contribution alongside him, posting 14-5 and a 1.65 rating.

G2 had no comparable response. NertZ still managed a 1.11 rating, but every other G2 player finished below 0.75. r1nkle closed the final map with just three kills and a 0.46 rating.

Across the last two maps, Legacy won the opening halves by a combined 17-7. Once Dust2 reached the second half, there was no final comeback left in G2.

latto peaks after building momentum throughout the tournament

The final also completed a striking progression for latto.

He had actually begun FISSURE Playground 3 quietly, recording a 0.96 rating in Legacy's 2-1 opening victory over magic. His level rose sharply from there: 1.48 in the 2-0 win over Alliance, 1.34 against FURIA, and 1.29 in the three-map semifinal victory over MIBR.

Then came the 1.67 in the final.

That progression is important because Legacy's tournament was not built around one player carrying from start to finish. dumau led the opener against magic with a 1.24 rating, latto and dumau dominated Alliance, latto and n1ssim led the FURIA sweep, and n1ssim narrowly topped latto in the semifinal against MIBR.

By the time Legacy reached the title match, however, latto had become their most consistent high-end performer — and the grand final turned that trend into a blowout.

His 1.67 rating was not merely the highest in the series; it represented a massive jump from his already strong performances against Alliance, FURIA and MIBR.

Legacy finish the event unbeaten as G2's lower-bracket run ends

Legacy's route to the trophy was markedly cleaner than G2's.

The Brazilians opened with a 2-1 win over magic before sweeping Alliance 2-0 and FURIA 2-0 to win Group B and secure direct passage to the semifinals. Their toughest match came against MIBR, where they survived a 16-14 overtime Inferno decider to win 2-1.

That meant Legacy entered the final 4-0 in series and 8-2 in maps.

G2 had taken the opposite route. They began the tournament with a 1-2 defeat to Astralis and were pushed into the lower bracket immediately. From there, they beat BIG 2-1, 9z 2-1 and 5star 2-0 to reach the playoffs.

Their playoff form suggested they might be peaking at the right time. G2 defeated FURIA 2-0 in the quarterfinal, including a 13-3 demolition on Dust2, before recovering from a 13-7 Mirage loss against BETBOOM to win the semifinal 2-1. NertZ was particularly important against BETBOOM, including a 1.64 rating on Anubis as G2 turned the series around.

The final broke that momentum decisively.

G2 had survived three separate three-map series during their run to the title match. Against Legacy, they never reached a fourth map.

Another Chinese title strengthens Legacy's growing record in the region

The victory gives Legacy their third trophy on Chinese soil after their titles at CAC 2025 and CAC 2026, continuing an unusual but increasingly significant run of success for the Brazilian organization in the region.

More importantly, the manner of the victory matched their tournament trajectory. Legacy finished FISSURE Playground 3 without losing a series, went 11-2 in maps, swept both FURIA and G2, and showed that their firepower could rotate between different players depending on the matchup.

latto ultimately provided the defining performance. His 1.67 rating in the grand final secured him the tournament MVP award after a close race with n1ssim, making him the MVP of all three of Legacy's title-winning campaigns in China.

G2 leave Suzhou with a runner-up finish after recovering impressively from their opening loss to Astralis, but the final exposed the limits of that run. NertZ remained productive even as the series slipped away; the support around him did not.

For Legacy, there was no such problem. Different players had carried different stages of the event, and when the trophy was on the line, latto delivered the most dominant individual series of their entire tournament.
