KSCERATO powers FURIA past MOUZ in StarSeries Fall elimination clash

FURIA kept their StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 campaign alive by eliminating MOUZ in a three-map lower-bracket series, recovering from a double-overtime loss to secure a 2-1 victory.

The Brazilian organization won its Cache pick 13-8, failed to close Mirage in a 16-19 defeat, and then dominated the second half of Nuke for a 13-6 decider victory. The result moved FURIA into the lower-bracket semifinal against MIBR and sent MOUZ home in 5th-6th place.

Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato was comfortably the series’ best player. He recorded 66 kills, 97.5 ADR, a 78.7% KAST and a 1.44 HLTV Rating 3.0. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko supplied the second layer of impact with a 1.18 rating and the highest KAST in the match at 81.3%.

Their performances separated two teams that were otherwise relatively close statistically. Every other FURIA player finished below a 1.00 rating, but KSCERATO and molodoy consistently gave Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s side the opening or mid-round advantage needed to control the series.

FURIA turn a 0-4 start into control of Cache

The veto gave FURIA their preferred opening battleground after they removed Inferno and selected Cache. MOUZ answered with Mirage, while Nuke remained as the decider.

MOUZ began Cache with four consecutive CT rounds, but the early lead disappeared almost immediately. FURIA found a route through the defense and strung together seven rounds without reply, turning a 0-4 deficit into a 7-4 advantage before closing the half 7-5.

The pattern continued after the break. FURIA extended their run of control to 10-5, while MOUZ’s offense produced only three rounds across the entire second half. The 13-8 finish was built on FURIA’s ability to recover from the opening sequence rather than allowing the economy to run away from them.

KSCERATO drove the turnaround with 18 kills, nine deaths, 87.7 ADR and a 1.51 rating. The rest of FURIA also contributed: yuurih posted a 1.24 rating, while YEKINDAR and molodoy finished at 1.13 and 1.12 respectively. It was the team’s most evenly distributed map of the series.

For MOUZ, Spinx was the only player to finish Cache above a 1.00 rating, recording 16 kills and a 1.31 rating. Adrian “xelex” Vincze, who would later lead the Mirage comeback, was held to eight kills and a 0.64 rating on the opener. 

xelex rescues MOUZ in double overtime

Mirage initially threatened to become another missed opportunity for MOUZ. They opened with three rounds but, as on Cache, lost control of the half and entered the interval 5-7 behind. FURIA then moved to a 10-5 lead after the switch.

This time, MOUZ responded. Five straight rounds erased the deficit, and the European side eventually reached map point at 12-11. FURIA forced overtime and survived another chance for MOUZ to close in the first extra set, but they could not complete the series in regulation or overtime.

MOUZ finally converted in the second overtime to win 19-16, with xelex producing the standout individual map of his team’s tournament run. The 18-year-old finished with 34 kills, 99.0 ADR and a 1.51 rating. xertioN added 30 kills and a 1.34 rating, giving MOUZ the two-player combination required to survive.

KSCERATO still led FURIA with 30 kills, 100.7 ADR and a 1.33 rating. Molodoy contributed a further 25 kills and a 1.19 rating, but the remainder of the lineup finished below 0.90. That lack of secondary output prevented FURIA from converting the 10-5 advantage and completing a 2-0.

The result also continued MOUZ’s reliance on comebacks at the event. They had already recovered from losing Cache to beat NAVI 2-1 in the previous lower-bracket round. Against FURIA, however, the Mirage escape only delayed elimination.

A flawless CT side decides Nuke

Nuke was divided into three uninterrupted runs.

FURIA seized the first six rounds on their T side, putting immediate pressure on a MOUZ team that had already needed overtime to stay alive. MOUZ then answered with six consecutive rounds of their own, producing a 6-6 halftime score and seemingly resetting the decider.

The momentum vanished after the switch. FURIA did not concede another round, closing the map with a perfect 7-0 CT half for a 13-6 victory.

KSCERATO again took control, finishing Nuke with 18 kills, 123.6 ADR and a 1.57 rating. Yuurih produced his best map of the series at the right moment, adding 15 kills and a 1.22 rating after managing only a 0.88 rating on Mirage.

MOUZ had no comparable response. xelex was their best player on the decider with a 1.11 rating, but the other four members finished below 0.90. Torzsi fell from a 1.22 rating on the team’s CT side across the series to a 0.57 rating on the T side, illustrating how sharply MOUZ’s offense deteriorated when Nuke reached its decisive phase.

KSCERATO rebounds from FURIA’s Vitality defeat

KSCERATO’s performance was also a clear improvement on FURIA’s upper-bracket semifinal against Vitality. Although he was still his team’s highest-rated player in that 0-2 defeat, he managed a 1.10 rating as FURIA lost Mirage 8-13 and Dust2 5-13.

Against MOUZ, his rating climbed to 1.44, with particularly strong showings on Cache and Nuke. His 66 kills were 15 more than molodoy, FURIA’s next-best fragger, and 17 more than MOUZ’s leading player. 

MOUZ’s individual trend moved in the opposite direction. xertioN had led the team with a 1.27 rating despite the opening 1-2 loss to NRG and followed that with a 1.13 rating in the elimination win over NAVI. He remained MOUZ’s highest-rated player against FURIA, but his 1.00 was not enough to match KSCERATO’s output.

Spinx also dropped from a 1.22 rating against NRG and 1.08 against NAVI to 0.88 in the elimination series. PR, meanwhile, ended a second match at the event below 0.90 after recording a 0.82 rating against NRG. MOUZ’s Mirage comeback briefly covered those declines, but the lack of sustained firepower became decisive on Nuke.

MOUZ’s recovery ends outside the final four

The defeat completed an inconsistent event for MOUZ. They arrived in Barcelona ranked third in the world after winning BLAST Bounty Season 2 and reaching the BLAST Open Porto grand final, but began StarSeries Fall with a 1-2 upset loss to NRG.

Their 2-1 reverse sweep of NAVI kept the campaign alive, with victories on Inferno and Mirage after another Cache defeat. That result suggested MOUZ had stabilized, yet the recurring Cache problems returned against FURIA: they finished the tournament 0-3 on the map, losing it to NRG, NAVI and FURIA.

FURIA’s route was also uneven. They opened by defeating MIBR 2-1, winning Nuke and Cache after losing Inferno, before Vitality swept them into the lower bracket. Their response against MOUZ was far stronger than the Vitality series, particularly on the defensive side of the Nuke decider.

The victory advanced FURIA to a rematch with MIBR in the lower-bracket semifinal later on Saturday. The winner would move into Sunday’s lower final against Vitality, while MOUZ leave Barcelona with a 1-2 series record and a 4-5 map record.
