K27 Sign fame on Loan from Virtus.pro Ahead of PGL Astana 2026
K27 have officially signed Petr “fame” Bolyshev on a short-term loan from Virtus.pro, strengthening their roster just weeks before PGL Astana 2026.
The deal will run until the end of May, with no buyout clause included. Once the loan period concludes, fame is expected to return to Virtus.pro, where both parties will evaluate his future.
K27 Replace relaxxie with Experienced Rifler
The move comes shortly after K27 parted ways with Karim “relaxxie” Miftakhov, creating an urgent need for a replacement ahead of their biggest event to date.
In the official statement, K27 CEO Ivan Kondratov acknowledged the difficulty of the decision:
“Such decisions are difficult, especially regarding a person who has been with us from the very beginning of our journey. But we have made the decision that from today we are forced to move forward in a different form.”
By bringing in fame, K27 add a player with significant tier-one experience and leadership qualities — something the roster previously lacked.
Why fame Is a Key Signing for K27
fame joins K27 during a crucial moment. The team received a late invitation to PGL Astana after another squad withdrew, giving them a rare opportunity to compete at a top-tier Counter-Strike 2 event.
This will mark K27’s first Big Event appearance, making experience a critical factor.
fame brings:
Over 1,000 maps played at a professional level
An HLTV MVP award (ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023)
Experience competing against elite teams
His addition could significantly improve K27’s structure and composure under pressure.
Virtus.pro Context: Why fame Was Available
Earlier in 2026, Virtus.pro benched both fame and Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev following poor results and a major roster overhaul.
At the time, the organization stated:
“After discussions, the club’s management concluded that changes to the roster were necessary.”
Virtus.pro had struggled heavily, recording a 0–5 series record and dropping in the Valve Regional Standings, which ultimately led to the decision.
The loan to K27 now gives fame a chance to prove himself again in an official environment.
K27’s Recent Struggles Before PGL Astana
K27 enter PGL Astana after a turbulent period. The team narrowly missed qualification through the European closed qualifier, losing a decisive best-of-five series that ended their Major hopes.
Despite that setback, they were later invited to the tournament, giving them a second chance on the big stage.
However, the roster change highlights that K27 are still searching for consistency.
Experience vs Pressure: Why This Move Matters
In high-level Counter-Strike, experience often determines performance under pressure — especially for emerging teams.
fame previously emphasized the importance of structure and balance in team play:
“We need to keep the balance between our play style and those faster things.”
This mindset could be exactly what K27 need as they prepare to face stronger opposition than ever before.
K27 Roster with fame
K27 will field the following lineup during the loan period:
Daniil “qw1nk1” Kabilov
Danila “kashl1d” Dronov
Aleksey “xeedo” Mikulich
Daniil “X5G7V” Maryshev
Petr “fame” Bolyshev
Coach: Gregory “balblna” Oleinick
What’s Next for fame and K27?
This short-term move is effectively a trial period for both sides:
K27 gain experience for a crucial tournament
fame gets a chance to rebuild his reputation
Virtus.pro retain control over the player’s future
If fame performs well at PGL Astana, he could attract interest from other teams — or even earn his way back into the Virtus.pro lineup.
