Imperial sweep paiN to win FERJEE In House Season 2

Imperial completed a flawless FERJEE In House Season 2 campaign with a 3-0 sweep of paiN in the grand final, winning Anubis 13-4, Cache 13-11 and Mirage 13-6 to claim the title in Rio de Janeiro.

The two highest-ranked teams in the eight-team field had both reached the final without dropping a map, but the anticipated Brazilian showdown quickly became one-sided. Imperial controlled paiN’s Anubis pick, survived the only genuinely competitive stretch of the series on Cache and then closed the tournament emphatically on Mirage.

Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco capped an excellent event with a 1.43 rating in the final, while Kaiky "noway" Santos finished only 0.01 behind him at 1.42. Imperial also received positive ratings from every member of the lineup, a stark contrast to paiN, where Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt was effectively left alone statistically.

The result carried significance beyond the $7,774 first-place prize. HLTV reported that Imperial moved ahead of paiN in the Valve Regional Standings following the tournament, while paiN fell to No. 46 — another setback to their chances of reaching the Major.

Imperial turn paiN’s Anubis pick into a rout

The warning signs for paiN appeared immediately.

After removing Inferno, paiN selected Anubis, while Imperial answered with Cache. Mirage was paiN’s second pick, with Nuke and Ancient waiting if the best-of-five went beyond three maps.

It never did.

Imperial effectively broke open the final during the first half of Anubis, racing to an 11-1 advantage before closing the map 13-4. The team finished the opener with a 1.42 collective Rating 3.0 compared with paiN’s 0.78.

Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes was the driving force behind the demolition. He produced 20 kills, 120.2 ADR and a 1.76 rating, comfortably the best performance on the server. Lucas "decenty" Bacelar added a 1.61 rating, while saadzin posted 1.41.

The scoreline was especially damaging because Anubis was paiN’s own choice. Instead of establishing themselves in the series, they entered Imperial’s Cache pick already needing a response just to keep the final competitive.

Cache gives paiN an opening, but Imperial refuse to let go

Cache was the closest map of the final and the only time paiN seriously threatened to extend the series.

Imperial led 7-5 at halftime and eventually edged the map 13-11, despite paiN holding a 14-10 advantage in opening kills and winning four clutches to Imperial’s one.

That contrast was one of the clearest indicators of the difference between the teams. paiN generated opportunities, but Imperial were better at turning the broader round structure into wins.

VINI was particularly influential. Imperial’s captain finished Cache with 21 kills, 90.2 ADR and a 1.61 rating, while noway recorded 23 kills and a 1.60 rating. saadzin contributed another steady 1.26 performance.

For Imperial, it was also further evidence that Cache was not simply a successful map on the day. They had already beaten Galorys 16-12 on it earlier in the tournament, meaning their victory over paiN moved them to another important win on the map during their title run.

paiN had their chances, but losing the closest map of the final left them facing three consecutive map points in a best-of-five that was rapidly slipping away.

Mirage completes an unbeaten title run

There was no comeback.

Imperial took Mirage 13-6 to complete the sweep and finish FERJEE In House Season 2 without losing a single map across four series.

Their route to the trophy was remarkably clean. VINI's team opened with a 2-0 victory over Juventus, beating them 13-6 on Anubis and 13-3 on Nuke. They followed it by defeating Galorys 16-12 on Cache and 13-6 on Inferno to advance directly to the playoff semifinals.

Bounty Hunters presented a tougher test in the semifinal, but Imperial still escaped with another sweep, winning Mirage 13-9 before recovering from a 5-7 halftime deficit on Nuke with an 8-0 defensive half to close the map 13-7.

That gave Imperial a 6-0 map record before the final. Adding the three victories over paiN left them at 9-0 maps for the tournament.

paiN had arrived in similarly convincing fashion.

They defeated Turma do Pagode 13-10 on both Anubis and Dust2 in their opener, then dismantled Bounty Hunters 13-7 on Cache and 13-3 on Dust2. Their semifinal against Galorys produced another 2-0, 13-9 on Cache and 13-5 on Dust2.

The final therefore matched two teams carrying perfect 6-0 map records.

Only one maintained it.

saadzin and noway give Imperial a two-star engine

Imperial's distribution of firepower was perhaps the clearest statistical explanation for the 3-0.

All five Imperial players finished above a 1.00 rating, four exceeded 1.20, and three cleared 1.30.

paiN had almost the exact opposite profile.

biguzera's 1.36 rating put him among the best individual performers in the entire final, but none of his four teammates reached even 0.82. The gap between him and paiN's second-highest-rated player, snow, was 0.55.

Tatu endured the most difficult series of all, finishing 20-50 with 42.4 ADR and a 0.47 rating. Rkzinho also struggled at 0.75 after producing a 1.57 rating in paiN's semifinal victory over Galorys just a day earlier.

That drop illustrates how dramatically the final differed from paiN's earlier tournament trajectory. Their new-look roster had navigated its first three matches without surrendering a map, only for Imperial to expose a huge disparity in individual output when the trophy was on the line.

saadzin finishes the event as Imperial’s benchmark

saadzin's final was not an isolated spike.

The 22-year-old AWPer finished FERJEE In House Season 2 as Imperial's highest-rated player with a 1.36 event rating, according to HLTV. His 1.43 in the grand final therefore represented another strong performance rather than a sudden breakout.

His tournament had started even more explosively. Against Juventus, saadzin posted a 1.67 rating with a 35-15 K-D as Imperial opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory. In the semifinal against Bounty Hunters, he again led the team with a 1.37 rating and 34-22 record.

noway's contribution in the final was just as important. His server-high 53 kills, 1.42 rating and 80% KAST ensured Imperial were not dependent on their AWPer to create advantages.

That balance ran through the lineup. chelo had already led Imperial with a 1.53 rating against Galorys, while decenty recorded 1.51 in the same series. Against paiN, it was saadzin, noway and VINI who occupied the top end of the scoreboard.

The names changed from match to match; the production did not.

The final reverses paiN’s trajectory at the worst possible moment

For paiN, the defeat matters well beyond finishing second in Rio.

They entered FERJEE In House Season 2 as the higher-ranked side on HLTV — No. 28 compared with Imperial at No. 62 — and both teams reached the title match undefeated.

There was also recent history between them. Imperial had defeated paiN in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 South America Closed Qualifier earlier in September, taking the series 2-1 after winning Inferno 13-9 and Mirage 13-10 around a 9-13 loss on Dust2.

The FERJEE final made that recent matchup trend even more significant: Imperial did not merely beat paiN again, they did it without allowing their domestic rival a single map.

More importantly, HLTV reported that the result left paiN at No. 46 in the Valve Regional Standings and further complicated their route toward the Major. Imperial, meanwhile, moved ahead of paiN in the VRS, giving VINI's lineup a significant rankings boost after a perfect tournament.

Imperial leave Rio with the FERJEE In House Season 2 trophy, a 4-0 series record and 9-0 map record, having beaten Juventus, Galorys, Bounty Hunters and paiN without conceding a map.

For paiN, a tournament that began with six straight map wins ended with three straight losses — and a domestic rival moving past them in the standings when ranking points matter most.
