BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals: Format and Schedule
The BLAST Bounty Finals mark the first LAN stop of the new Fantasy season and feature:
8 teams
Single-elimination bracket
Best-of-three quarter-finals and semi-finals
Best-of-five grand final
Quarter-final matchups are drawn ahead of the opening day, with semi-final pairings determined after the first round is completed.
Teams Competing in the Opening Fantasy Game
The eight teams available for Fantasy selection at the BLAST Bounty Finals are:
Vitality, Spirit, Falcons, Liquid, FURIA, HEROIC, GamerLegion, and PARIVISION
Notably, several high-profile teams failed to qualify for the LAN stage, leaving only a limited number of top-10 contenders in the opening Fantasy pool — a factor expected to heavily influence pick rates and pricing strategies.
Falcons Stand-In Situation Creates Fantasy Value
One of the biggest Fantasy storylines heading into the event is Falcons’ roster situation. The team will compete without coach zonic and with NucleonZ standing in for kyousuke, who is unable to attend due to ongoing visa issues.
Falcons’ in-game leader Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski addressed the situation, explaining that visa complications remain a recurring issue with multiple Schengen-based events on the calendar. He also described NucleonZ as an aggressive player willing to take initiative and follow team direction — a factor that directly impacts Fantasy risk-reward calculations.
Because of the stand-in, Falcons players are priced lower than expected, making them one of the most discussed value options in the opening game.
Spirit Roster Changes Shape Fantasy Pick Rates
Spirit arrive as the only title contender with a notable offseason adjustment, which has influenced Fantasy pricing and popularity. Despite the changes, donk remains the most-picked player in the opening game, appearing in over a third of all Fantasy lineups.
Supporting players magixx and zont1x have also seen strong pick rates, reflecting community confidence in Spirit’s system even amid roster adjustments.
Player and Team Quotes Set the Tone for the Event
Several teams shared insights ahead of the BLAST Bounty Finals:
Falcons emphasized a renewed focus on structured team play rather than individual heroics.
HEROIC spoke about rebuilding toward long-term top-tier contention.
Liquid highlighted the importance of stability and practice time after a turbulent previous season.
FURIA stressed that being labeled favorites does not reduce the workload required to win.
These narratives add additional context for Fantasy players weighing consistency versus volatility in their lineups.
Why BLAST Bounty Matters in the 2026 CS2 Season
BLAST Bounty features a hybrid prize and bounty system, where teams earn money not only through placement but also by eliminating opponents and claiming a portion of their accumulated bounty. This format increases match stakes early in the bracket and aligns closely with HLTV Fantasy scoring, where deep runs and high-impact performances are rewarded.
