Heroic and BetBoom out of contention for StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 invites

HLTV.org’s latest “invite watch” update indicates that HEROIC and BetBoom Team no longer have a path to receive European VRS invites for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. The projection accounts for results through the evening of October 1, 2025. 

For HEROIC, a 1–3 exit from ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1—capped by a 1–2 series loss to Astralis on October 1—left Linus “LNZ” Holtäng’s squad without enough points, with no additional matches before the invite cut-off. Match stats show Astralis winning Mirage 13–10, HEROIC taking Inferno 13–4, and Astralis closing Nuke 13–2. 

For BetBoom, a CCT S3 Europe Series 7 semifinal defeat to CYBERSHOKE on October 1 dropped the team in HLTV’s VRS standings. With no further fixtures before the cut-off, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov’s roster falls short of the invite threshold per HLTV’s model. 

Context: StarLadder’s Budapest Major is scheduled for November 24–December 14, 2025 in Hungary, with Europe’s invites determined via Valve’s Regional Standings (VRS). HLTV’s hub outlines that Europe receives 16 VRS invites split across Stages 1–3; the invite date is listed as October 8, with the VRS “lock” noted for October 6.
