GooseBreeder Leaves FlyQuest RED After Multi-Year Tenure, Eyes New Chapter in Europe
Mounira “GooseBreeder” Dobie has officially departed FlyQuest RED, bringing an end to one of the longest-standing leadership runs in North American women’s Counter-Strike. The Canadian in-game leader steps down with immediate effect as she prepares to relocate to Europe, FlyQuest confirmed.
The move marks a major turning point for FlyQuest RED and adds further uncertainty to a women’s CS2 scene already affected by the indefinite pause of ESL Impact.
GooseBreeder confirms departure: “Hard to put into words”
In a public statement, GooseBreeder reflected on her time with the organization and confirmed she will take a break before committing to her next project:
“Hard to put into words for what was such a long time under the red banner… As for what’s next for me, I’m going to take some time to relax and reflect.”
GooseBreeder joined FlyQuest in 2023 and quickly became the backbone of the team’s competitive identity, serving as both in-game leader and strategic anchor.
FlyQuest RED results and legacy under GooseBreeder
During GooseBreeder’s tenure, FlyQuest RED were one of the most consistent teams in North American women’s Counter-Strike, regularly qualifying for international LANs.
Key achievements:
Six ESL Impact Finals appearances
Best result: 3rd–4th place at ESL Impact Season 3
Long-term domestic dominance in North America
Her leadership helped FlyQuest RED remain a staple of the Impact circuit throughout multiple roster iterations.
Current FlyQuest RED roster after GooseBreeder exit
Following the departure, FlyQuest RED’s active lineup consists of:

The organization has not yet announced a replacement in-game leader.
Related news: FlyQuest RED’s international rebuild
Earlier this year, FlyQuest RED signed Marie “marie” Toft Sørensen from Astralis W, bringing the Danish rifler to North America as part of a broader rebuild.
marie previously described the transfer as a major personal milestone, calling the move to the United States a long-term dream and expressing confidence in the team’s potential. Teammates echoed that sentiment, praising her raw skill and fit within the roster.
ESL Impact pause adds uncertainty to women’s CS2
GooseBreeder’s exit also comes amid broader instability in the scene. ESL confirmed that ESL Impact has been placed on indefinite hold after Season 8, citing sustainability concerns.
Players and teams across the ecosystem have since voiced concerns about the future of structured competition, with several describing the announcement as emotionally devastating and career-altering.
The pause removes the primary international pathway for women’s teams, making roster moves and regional shifts—such as GooseBreeder’s relocation to Europe—more consequential than ever.
What’s next for GooseBreeder and FlyQuest RED?
GooseBreeder has not announced a new team and has stated she will take time away before deciding her future, leaving open the possibility of competing or contributing to the European scene.
FlyQuest RED, meanwhile, face a critical transition period as they look to replace a long-time leader and redefine their direction in an evolving CS2 landscape.
