FURIA Reach IEM Kraków 2026 Grand Final as molodoy Delivers Standout Performance

In a thrilling IEM Kraków 2026 semi-final clash, FURIA have secured their spot in the grand final after overcoming Spirit in a hard-fought 2–1 series at the CS2 LAN event in Kraków, Poland. The Brazilian side were led by an outstanding individual performance from their young AWPer Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, whose impact proved decisive on two of the matches.

The series opened on Mirage, where FURIA struck first in a tightly contested match. A pivotal 2v5 clutch involving molodoy and veteran Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo early on helped FURIA build momentum on the Terrorist side. Despite Spirit’s resistance — particularly from Daniil “donk” Kryshkovets and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov, who fought back to level the score — FURIA managed to clinch the map 16–13 in overtime thanks to several critical multi-kill contributions from molodoy.

Spirit bounced back on Dust2, establishing early control thanks to effective offense and strong entries. Despite FURIA’s efforts on the CT side, Spirit capitalized on key rounds to take the map 13–8, forcing a decider. FURIA’s defensive undertakings were limited, and Spirit’s Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia was significant in keeping his team competitive.

With the series tied, FURIA entered Nuke with renewed intensity. molodoy continued his dominant form, opening the map with an early P250 triple and following it up with a clutch 1v2. His performance helped FURIA build a commanding 9–3 lead at half-time and eventually close out the map 13–7, securing the series and a place in the grand final.

The victory marks a major rebound for FURIA, who earlier in the season endured shaky results and a loss to PARIVISION at the BLAST Bounty semi-finals. Their Kraków run has been marked by a mix of resilience and explosive individual plays, with molodoy emerging as a key figure in their title hopes.

FURIA now await the winner of the second semi-final between MOUZ and Vitality to determine their grand final opponent on Sunday. Meanwhile, Spirit’s pursuit of their first Kraków trophy continues with a third-place decider later in the event.
