Fluxo Appoints Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre as New Head Coach Amid Season Struggles
Brazilian CS2 organization Fluxo has announced the appointment of Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre as its new head coach. The Portuguese coach succeeds Marcos “tacitus” Castilho, who has been relieved of his coaching duties after almost two years leading the team.
Juve arrives at Fluxo at a time of significant upheaval within the squad. The team has endured a rocky start to the 2026 season, failing to secure strong finishes at early events — including a 7–8 placement in the Americas qualifier for IEM Rio and back-to-back lower-tier LAN results at BetBoom Circuit X Redemption Curitiba and Fire CONTER Season 1.
Background on the Coaching Change
The departure of tacitus was confirmed earlier this month as part of Fluxo’s effort to reverse its downward competitive trend. Tacitus had been head coach for approximately 21 months, providing stability until recent performance issues led to the organization parting ways with him.
Who is Juve?
Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre is a 23-year-old Portuguese coach and former player, known for his prior tenure with Into the Breach, where he guided the team to the Paris Major quarter-finals in 2023. After the collapse of British organization Into the Breach in early 2025, Juve briefly coached kONO, helping transition the squad from an all-Ukrainian lineup to an international roster.
Upon his appointment, Juve posted on social media that the previous period had been difficult due to instability but expressed confidence that his hiring marks “a new beginning” and that the team should “go after results.”
Recent Team Changes
Fluxo’s recent reshuffles extend beyond coaching. In January, the team benched in-game leader Andrei “arT” Piovezan and signed Brazilian rifler Raphael “exit” Lacerda from MIBR. Leadership on the server was then handed to Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves.
Current Roster & Competitive Outlook
Fluxo’s current starting five includes:
-
Romeu “zevy” Rocco
-
Kayke “kye” Bertolucci
-
Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves
-
Lucas “decenty” Bacelar
-
Raphael “exit” Lacerda
With Juve now occupying the coaching role and Matheus “mlhzin” Marçola remaining on the bench.
As of this writing, Fluxo sits outside the top tier of the VRS (VCT / Valve Ranking System) and will look to improve its position before the Cologne Major invite cutoff. Later this month, Fluxo is scheduled to attend BetBoom RUSH B! Summit Part Deux in São Paulo.
