Grand Final Recap & Impact

In the ESL Pro League Season 22 grand final, Vitality dominated Falcons with a clean 3–0 sweep (Inferno 13–10, Train 13–9, Dust2 13–5), ending a four-month title drought for the team. 

flameZ was instrumental, turning in a standout performance across the maps. His impact was felt particularly on Inferno and Dust2, where his aggressive plays and clutch entries changed the tide of several rounds. 

One vivid highlight: flameZ’s quad-kill in a crucial round earned 7 championship points.  Also noted was a highly pressured retake secured by Vitality with only milliseconds to spare. 

The performance pushed flameZ’s final match rating into the 1.60 range, marking one of his all-time best showings on the LAN stage. 

This title gives Vitality their first trophy of the season. 

MVP & Awards

Although flameZ starred in the final, the MVP award was handed to m0NESY of Falcons. He posted a 1.38 rating, a +5.50% round swing, and 1.12 kills per round—his best showing since joining Falcons.  This marks m0NESY’s fifth career MVP, and his first in nearly a year. 

In post–final coverage, ropz remarked:

“I’ve not had this consistency in a long time.”

Vitality’s in-game leader, apEX, admitted the first half of the season had been exhausting, stating:

“First part of the season, 7 weeks in a row we had tournaments, it killed me. I’m still recovering from that.”
On the semifinal choke versus FaZe, he added:
“If you’re 11-3 as a caller on T side it’s my fault first.”

Also, broadcaster launders reflected on Vitality’s trajectory:

“Vitality on track to shoot at Astralis’ 2018 trophy record.”

Tournament Context & Road to the Final

The ESL Pro League Season 22 ran from October 4 to October 12, 2025, featuring 16 teams and a total prize pool of USD 1,000,000 (player share USD 400,000).  Vitality entered the event seeking to break their title drought. 

In the semis, Vitality defeated FaZe, ending their Cinderella run at the tournament.  On the other side, Falcons reached their first-ever grand final after beating MOUZ. 

Earlier in the tournament, the quarter-finals delivered key highlights. Among them, Vitality’s pistols were dominant, and their 3vs5 conversions kept momentum going.
