Falcons Sweep FaZe to Cap Off Perfect Group Stage at FPG2

Team Falcons have secured their spot in the playoffs at FISSURE Playground 2 after defeating FaZe 2-0 in their best-of-three match in the Swiss‐format group stage. 

With this win, Falcons finish the group stage without dropping a map—having previously defeated Virtus.pro and Legacy in straight sets. Their composure was especially evident on Nuke, where they resisted a FaZe rally and held on to win. 

A few factors contributed to their success:

• Falcons won both pistol rounds, giving them early economic and momentum advantages.

• Key plays from NiKo on Yard (map Dust2), including multi-frags and late-round impact, helped compensate for quieter performances elsewhere.

• On FaZe’s side, only frozen stood out on Nuke, while Dust2 saw underwhelming performances from Helvijs “broky” Saukants and Håvard “rain” Nygaard — except broky’s second-half pistol quad-kill. Overall, FaZe struggled to get consistent impact from their stars.

Top individual stats for Falcons included strong showings from NiKo, kyxsan, TeSeS, and kyousuke. On the FaZe side, despite having moments, nobody beyond frozen managed to consistently match Falcons’ impact across both maps. 

With this sweep, Falcons move on confidently to the playoffs, having shown dominance in the Swiss stage.
