Falcons Escape BC.Game Upset in CS Asia Championships 2026 Opener
Falcons Beat BC.Game 13-11 in Tight CS Asia Championships Match
Falcons survived a major scare against BC.Game to secure a 13-11 victory in the opening round of the CS Asia Championships 2026 in Shanghai.
The highly anticipated best-of-one on Dust2 nearly turned into one of the biggest upsets of the tournament’s first day, as BC.Game pushed the world No. 4 squad to the brink before Falcons closed out the match with a late CT-side recovery.
According to HLTV.org, BC.Game won both pistol rounds and entered halftime with a 7-5 lead, consistently punishing Falcons in mid-round situations. However, Falcons stabilized defensively after the switch and narrowly edged the final rounds to avoid an early lower-bracket drop.
electroNic Leads Falcons as BC.Game Miss Upset Opportunity
Denis “electroNic” Sharipov delivered the strongest individual performance on the server, finishing with a 22-12 K-D, 99 ADR, and a 1.73 rating. The Russian rifler produced several crucial multikill rounds that kept Falcons alive during critical stretches of the game.
Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev also contributed key impact rounds, including a memorable Deagle triple kill, although BC.Game ultimately failed to convert multiple advantageous post-plant scenarios.
For Falcons, Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin topped the team scoreboard with a 1.17 rating, narrowly ahead of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač at 1.11. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and René “TeSeS” Madsen finished with identical 1.01 ratings, while Finn “karrigan” Andersen struggled statistically throughout the match.
Falcons Continue New Era Under karrigan
The match marked another important step in Falcons’ rebuilding process following the arrival of veteran in-game leader karrigan earlier this season.
In a recent interview with HLTV.org, karrigan said joining Falcons gave him “a fire” again and emphasized the roster’s long-term championship ambitions. The Danish captain added that his goal is to make teams “respect Falcons in the playoffs.”
Falcons head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen also recently praised karrigan’s leadership qualities, explaining that the organization wanted to give him “the keys to the ship” to help unlock the roster’s full potential.
