Falcons bid farewell to Magisk

Falcons bid farewell to Magisk — English Rewrite
Falcons have officially released four-time Major champion Emil “Magisk” Reif from his contract, marking the end of his chapter with the Saudi-backed organization.
Magisk had been previously benched in June 2025 following a period of restructuring that included the addition of rising talent Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin. In their statement, Falcons paid tribute to his contributions, noting:
“Magisk brought many memorable moments and helped us win our first CS2 trophy in Bucharest, … we thank him for his dedication to the team as we seek a new path after this offseason.”
Responding on social media, Magisk expressed gratitude and optimism:
“Time for the next chapter. With the Austin major now having concluded, I’m officially moved to Falcons’ bench. I feel eager and hungry as ever and can’t wait to continue my journey at the highest level of CS and show you what I’m capable of.”
“I’d like to thank all my teammates and Falcons. Although things didn’t work out the way we wanted, it has been a great learning experience for me.”
Context & Career Highlights
Magisk first joined Falcons in late 2023, as part of an ambitious project under head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen to build a star-studded roster.
Throughout 2024, the team struggled to meet expectations, failing to qualify for the Copenhagen and Shanghai Majors, despite the high-profile lineup.
The addition of NiKo and m0NESY in early 2025 bolstered the roster, leading to improved outcomes and culminating in their first CS2 trophy at PGL Bucharest.
However, with the evolving roster and competitive dynamics, Magisk was moved to the bench, and now formally released.
