EYEBALLERS Claim Title at Red Bull GIBAWAY JOURNEY 2025

Sweden’s EYEBALLERS emerged victorious at the Red Bull GIBAWAY JOURNEY 2025, defeating Russia’s BetBoom 2-1 in the grand final to secure their first LAN triumph in nearly two years. 

After coming through the best-of-one group stage with a 4-1 record (only losing to Denmark’s MASONIC), EYEBALLERS then knocked out ENCE and AM in the playoffs before the final. 

In the final, they trailed after the first map but staged a comeback to close out the match and claim the top $5,222 prize. 

This win marks EYEBALLERS’ first LAN victory since they lifted the trophy at Sweden’s Svenska Cupen 2023, where veteran star Jesper “JW” Wecksell was the only remaining member of the current lineup. 

The victory also delivered a significant boost in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS): EYEBALLERS climbed from #59 to #47 in the world rankings, while BetBoom moved from #28 to #21. Meanwhile, AM enjoyed a dramatic jump from #219 to #80 after reaching the semi-finals. 

Looking ahead, EYEBALLERS are scheduled to begin their next LAN event at Svenska Cupen 2025 on November 12, where they will pit themselves against other local Swedish teams.
