ESL Pro League Season 23 Playoff Bracket Set: Spirit, MOUZ Lead Stockholm Finals

ESL Pro League Season 23 Playoff Bracket Set: Spirit, MOUZ Lead Stockholm Finals
The ESL Pro League Season 23 playoff bracket has officially been finalized after the online stage reduced the field to eight teams. The tournament now moves to the LAN Finals at Annexet Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, where the remaining contenders will battle for the title and a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
Among the biggest storylines heading into the arena stage are Spirit and MOUZ, the only teams that finished Stage 2 with flawless 3-0 records, securing the top seeds on opposite sides of the bracket.
The ESL Pro League S23 playoffs will run March 13–15, featuring single-elimination matches, with best-of-three quarterfinals and semifinals and a best-of-five grand final.

The quarterfinal matchups for the Stockholm stage are now confirmed:
The MongolZ vs NAVI
Legacy vs Aurora
MOUZ vs FUT
Astralis vs Spirit
The quarterfinals will take place on March 13, followed by the semifinals on March 14 and the grand final on March 15.
With a mix of established contenders and emerging teams, the playoff bracket promises several high-profile clashes as the teams move from online play to the LAN arena.
Spirit vs Astralis Headlines Upper Bracket
One of the most anticipated matches of the opening round will see Spirit face Astralis.
Spirit secured their playoff position after defeating G2, completing a perfect Stage 2 run. The team enters the arena stage as one of the tournament favorites thanks to their consistent performances throughout the event.
Astralis, meanwhile, claimed the final playoff spot after defeating FURIA 2-1, delivering dominant performances on Nuke (13-4) and Inferno (13-4).
The matchup also carries additional context, as Spirit previously defeated Astralis earlier in the year during IEM competition, giving them a psychological edge heading into the quarterfinal.
MOUZ Face Dark Horse FUT
Another major storyline in the playoffs is MOUZ vs FUT, a clash between one of the tournament’s most consistent teams and a rising underdog.
MOUZ secured their playoff berth after defeating The MongolZ, extending their impressive streak against the Mongolian squad to five consecutive series wins.
Star rifler Spinx has been one of the tournament’s standout players, finishing Stage 2 with one of the highest player ratings.
After clinching their playoff spot, Brollan emphasized the team’s ambitions while remaining cautious about expectations:
“We don’t want to put too much pressure on ourselves, but of course we want to show that we can win big tournaments.”
FUT reached the playoffs by defeating G2, mounting a comeback on the Overpass decider after falling behind early in the match.
Earlier in the season, team leader MAJ3R expressed confidence in the squad’s firepower in an HLTV interview:
“FUT shoot better than Spirit, Vitality or Falcons.”
Their playoff run now gives the team an opportunity to prove that statement against one of the tournament favorites.
Legacy vs Aurora Rematch Adds Playoff Drama
The quarterfinal between Legacy and Aurora will serve as a direct rematch of their earlier meeting in Stage 2.
That series produced one of the most intense matches of the tournament, featuring multiple overtime maps, including a quadruple-overtime thriller on Inferno.
Legacy have been one of the biggest surprises of the event. The team dominated Stage 1 with a 3-0 record and continued their momentum in Stage 2, including a decisive victory over NAVI.
Aurora, however, have repeatedly proven their ability to close out long and chaotic matches, making the rematch highly unpredictable.
NAVI Seek Revenge Against The MongolZ
The playoff stage will open with NAVI vs The MongolZ, a match that carries a revenge storyline.
NAVI secured their place in the arena after defeating 3DMAX, but the team previously lost to The MongolZ earlier in the season.
The Mongolian side advanced to the playoffs after beating 3DMAX 2-1, but they will face the LAN stage with an important change: coach maaRaa will miss the event due to personal reasons, though he will continue supporting the team remotely.
Despite the setback, The MongolZ remain one of the most dangerous teams in the bracket thanks to their aggressive style and strong recent performances.
