BC.Game and Coach emi Part Ways After Short-Term Trial Contract

BC.Game Esports, the emerging Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) organisation, have announced that Luka “emi” Vuković will leave the team following the conclusion of his short-term trial contract, which began in July 2025. The Serbian coach confirmed his departure on social media, stating that he and the organisation agreed to take different directions after his contract ended.

Emi — a seasoned figure in the CS2 coaching scene — had reunited with long-time colleague Nemanja “nexa” Isaković during his stint at BC.Game. The two previously worked together on CR4ZY in 2019, where they developed a working rapport, and BC.Game brought emi in with the intention of helping shape their evolving roster.

In his statement, emi noted that as his trial contract drew to a close, he felt it was best for both himself and the team to pursue other opportunities. His exit marks one of two consecutive roster changes announced by BC.Game in recent days. On December 13, 2025, the organisation also revealed that they had chosen not to extend the contract of Serbian rifler nexa, who has also entered free agency

Background: BC.Game’s 2025 Project and Roster Overhaul

BC.Game Esports originated as a relatively new organisation in the professional CS2 scene, having been established in 2024 with a focus on rapid roster development. Their initial strategy involved aggressive recruitment and frequent changes, which saw them bring in both veteran and emerging talents throughout 2024 and 2025.

In mid-2025, the organisation began shaping its current lineup around some notable additions. One of the biggest moves came in October 2025, when BC.Game signed Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev — widely regarded as one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time — after he left Natus Vincere (NAVI) earlier that summer.

Shortly after s1mple’s arrival, BC.Game added Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, a fellow former NAVI star and PGL Major Stockholm 2021 champion, reuniting him with s1mple and creating a core duo with Major-winning experience.

Alongside those veteran signings, the roster also features players such as Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski and Andreas “aNdu” Maasing — both consistent starters — while riflers Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad and Luca “pr1metapz” Voigt had been serving on the bench as BC.Game continued its rotation and development process.

The additions of emi and aNdu in July 2025 were part of this broader effort to solidify coaching structure and expand strategic depth. At the time, BC.Game announced both as final roster build-outs following s1mple’s signing, with emi taking the coaching role on a trial basis and aNdu rounding out the starting lineup.

Team Performance and Competitive Challenges

Despite its ambitious signings and star-studded brass, BC.Game has struggled to make a sustained impact on the competitive scene. Their results throughout 2025 reflect a team still finding its footing, with mixed placements across online tournaments and several early exits from regional and international competitions.

Highlights included a third-place finish at the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Europe Cup 2 — the squad’s only online event win — as well as mid-tier placements in other circuits, including the European Pro League Series 3 and Red Bull GIBAWAY JOURNEY 2025

Overall, BC.Game currently sit at #86 in the world rankings, indicating that their results have not met the initial expectations set by the organisation after acquiring elite players like s1mple and electroNic.

emi’s Tenure: Coaching Impact and Results

As coach, emi was brought in to help establish BC.Game’s tactical identity and to support the team through its early growing pains. His prior experience with nexa at CR4ZY — a Serbian-based roster that competed in various international qualifiers and regional events — suggested a potential strategic synergy. However, during his time at BC.Game, the team’s performance rarely broke into consistently high placements.

While BC.Game did achieve tangible success in one online event with emi at the helm, the broader trend of early tournament exits and inconsistent showings likely influenced both parties’ decisions not to extend his contract. As emi himself stated, the mutual conclusion was that moving in different directions aligned with the best interests of the team’s future and his own professional trajectory.

Recent Departures and Free Agency Movements

The separation from emi follows BC.Game’s earlier choice not to keep nexa for the 2026 season. Nexa — a veteran rifler and Captain who joined BC.Game in early 2025, reuniting with his former BLEED teammates — has now entered free agency.

His departure, along with emi’s, marks two significant changes in as many days for the organisation, underlining BC.Game’s willingness to recalibrate after a difficult competitive year. Prior to signing with BC.Game, nexa had built a strong reputation on teams like G2 and BLEED, known for his tactical approach and longevity in CS:GO and early CS2.

Future Direction: Roster Stability and Competitive Aspirations

With emi and nexa now out of the lineup, BC.Game faces a period of reassessment and restructuring as they approach the 2026 competitive calendar. The team’s core — including s1mple, electroNic, CacaNito, and aNdu — remains intact for now, but leadership and coaching structures are open for discussion as the organisation seeks improved results in the coming season.

It remains to be seen whether BC.Game will pursue a permanent head coach or prefer to integrate tactical direction internally through players, a model some teams have adopted in recent years. With star power like s1mple and electroNic on board, the potential is there, but translating individual talent into consistent team success will be a key focus for 2026.

Conclusion

  • BC.Game Esports and coach Luka “emi” Vuković have parted ways after his short-term trial contract concluded.

  • emi’s departure comes shortly after BC.Game also decided not to retain veteran rifler nexa for the next season.

  • The organisation’s ambitious roster — featuring names like s1mple and electroNic — has shown flashes of strength but struggled for consistent results in 2025.

  • With both emi and nexa now free agents, BC.Game enter off-season roster planning as they prepare for 2026 competition.
