Degster Praises FaZe’s “Magic” After 3–0 Run at Budapest Major 2025
Russian AWPer Abdul “degster” Gasanov has highlighted FaZe Clan’s flawless performance in Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, calling their run “magic” and praising karrigan and his team for their resurgence. His reaction followed FaZe’s clean 3–0 sweep through Passion UA, Aurora and Ninjas in Pyjamas — a sharp turnaround after barely surviving Stage 1 with a 3–2 record.
FaZe opened Stage 2 with tight 13–10 wins over Passion UA and Aurora, then secured qualification to Stage 3 by defeating NiP 2–0 (16–12, 16–12). The team became the first squad to advance, instantly shifting the tournament narrative toward their revival.
Other pros echoed the praise. Former forZe captain Jerry predicted FaZe would go 3–0 in his Pick’Em, a prediction that proved accurate. FaZe rifler frozen also told Raiznews he wasn’t surprised by their strong form, saying the 2–0 start “shows our real level.” Meanwhile, Twistzz, broky, and karrigan celebrated the win on social media, emphasizing resilience and fan support. Earlier, karrigan noted in an HLTV interview that FaZe were building toward long-term stability despite struggles earlier in the year.
The Budapest Major 2025, running November 24 – December 14, features 32 teams fighting for a $1.25M prize pool and eight playoff spots at MVM Dome. With Stage 3 approaching, FaZe now emerge as one of the top contenders following their dramatic turnaround — the exact “magic” Degster says the team wasn’t expected to find again.
