blameF after PGL Masters Bucharest exit: “We need to do better at the Major”

Fnatic captain Benjamin “blameF” Bremer reacted to his team’s elimination from PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, calling the result “very disappointing” and adding that the team “needs to do better at the Major.” He shared the message on his personal X account shortly after the loss.

Fnatic were knocked out in the Swiss stage by GamerLegion, 0–2, falling 11–13 on Train and 7–13 on Overpass. The defeat capped a rough run in Bucharest: losses to Aurora (0–2) and FlyQuest (0–2) were split by a survival win over MIBR (2–0). HLTV’s match report highlighted that despite blameF’s strong event overall, Fnatic couldn’t find enough across the server to stay alive.

According to tournament coverage, Fnatic finish 12th–14th and take home $9,375. The event runs October 26–November 1 in Bucharest, Romania, with a $1.25M prize pool.

What others said after Fnatic’s exit

GamerLegion rifler Fredrik “REZ” Sterner on moving to 2–2 after beating Fnatic: “This is more like it… 2–2 in Swiss.”

NIP’s in-game leader Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer on their own early exit: “It’s a good reality check for the Major,” acknowledging they still should have performed better despite limited practice.

MIBR’s IGL Bruno “exit” Fonseca after elimination: “It’s never easy to accept a defeat… Unfortunately we had a stand-in,” adding they plan a one-month bootcamp before the Major.

Extra context

HLTV’s recap of Fnatic’s final series notes the team’s recent roster controversy (benching CYPHER ahead of the Budapest Major) and that the loss intensified scrutiny around the lineup.
