AZR Joins FlyQuest as Head Coach for DraculaN #2

FlyQuest has officially announced the signing of Australian coach AZR to lead their Counter-Strike 2 roster as head coach for DraculaN Season 2

On FlyQuest’s official CS team account, the org wrote:

“Reunited with the Aussies. @Azr is joining as our head coach for Draculan S2!”

He will take over the leadership role following the departure of previous coach Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga

Background & Rationale

ErkaSt’s exit

In August 2025, FlyQuest announced they were benching erkaSt. He had been with the team for some time, and the organization stated:

“It’s fair to say we didn’t see Counter-Strike the same way, and there were some cultural differences too.” — erkaSt

That parting opened the head coach slot just as FlyQuest prepared for participation in DraculaN #2.

AZR’s experience & path

AZR (real name uncertain in public sources) is a veteran figure in the CS scene. Before this move, media outlets had speculated about his possible involvement with FlyQuest. One such article (Dust2.in) noted:

“AZR's last known CS venture was with TALON in 2024 … A momentary Liquipedia update showed AZR as a part of FlyQuest's lineup in the coach's position.”

Though that earlier listing was reverted until an official announcement, it foreshadowed today’s confirmation.

According to Liquipedia’s DraculaN page, FlyQuest is officially registering AZR as coach (denoted by a “C” next to his name).

What This Means for FlyQuest

Roster stability: FlyQuest’s core remains the same: INS, Vexite, regali, nettik, and jks. The addition of AZR provides new tactical direction.

Tournament stakes: In DraculaN #2, FlyQuest will compete among 24 teams for a total prize pool of €9,600 (≈ $11,274).

Expectations & pressure: With a fresh coach and ambitions to make a mark, FlyQuest will want to improve on past results in international competition. The organization has also recently added jks (in July) to bolster firepower, but so far results haven’t matched expectations.
