Aurora vs. Liquid leads Day 2 at PGL Masters Bucharest
Eight more best-of-three series await on Monday, with Aurora vs. Liquid topping the 1-0 pool after both teams opened their Swiss campaigns with wins. 1-0 pool (all BO3):
GamerLegion vs. paiN — 09:00
HEROIC vs. BetBoom — 12:00
Aurora vs. Liquid — 15:00
3DMAX vs. B8 — 18:00

SAW vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas — 12:00
fnatic vs. FlyQuest — 15:00
Astralis vs. MIBR — 18:00
(Note: MIBR are without AWPer kl1m due to visa issues.)
Headliner: Aurora vs. Liquid (1-0 pool)
Aurora and Liquid were paired in Swiss Round 2 after winning their openers, creating an early marquee clash in Bucharest. The match is slated for 15:00 in the Round 2 #5 slot.
Form & recent storylines
Liquid: Arrived in the 1-0 pool after beating CAC champions Legacy. Israeli rifler NertZ said after the opener: “Me and EliGE are aligned in the way we see CS,” noting his uptick in form since joining. Earlier this month, EliGE set expectations: “We can definitely do some damage here … I’d like to make playoffs, minimum.”
Aurora: Come in with a busy October that included a playoff run at Thunderpick World Championship and a narrow loss to NAVI that captain MAJ3R later said he “still can’t believe [they] threw.” Over the summer, MAJ3R and AWPer woxic spoke about the team’s heavy practice load and ambitions: “We practiced all the maps … re-changed everything,” and “Our goal is to go to semi-finals in all events … you need to suffer.”
Day 1 recap that set the table
Favorites mostly held serve, but B8 stunned Astralis 2-0, pushing the Danes into the 0-1 bracket. That result influences the evening slate, where Astralis now face a depleted MIBR (without kl1m).
Other Day-2 storylines & roster notes
Ninjas in Pyjamas: Coach Xizt is out for this event; however, Snappi is back in the lineup after briefly being a doubt due to the birth of his child. NIP meet SAW in the 0-1 pool at 12:00.
GamerLegion: Fresh off their win vs. FlyQuest on Day 1, Sebastian “Tauson” Lindelöf said, “We talked about having the inner belief back … I feel we lost it a bit during EPL and CAC,” ahead of their 1-0 meeting with paiN.
