The German player and performance agency Achieveminds has unveiled a new Counter‑Strike team—AM—designed to support free agents who have struggled to find a new home, whether due to age, perceived risk, or lack of fit in the current market.
Inspired by the German football players’ union, which maintains out-of-contract professionals in competitive shape, the AM initiative offers its roster a structured ecosystem featuring mental coaching, physical training, and nutrition guidance.
The initial AM roster includes:
Florian “syrsoN” Rische – former BIG AWPer, now bringing experience to the new project.
Nils “k1to” Gruhne – another ex-BIG player, seeking a fresh start after being benched at OG.
Alexander “Altekz” Givskov – a former Astralis Talent prospect.
Jonathan “delle” Ahlstedt.
Ahmet “2high” Baftijari, serving as the in-game leader.
Coaching duties fall to Jonathan “MusambaN1” Torrent, who recently departed BIG EQUIPA after a three-year stint overseeing their women’s squad.
Commenting on the project, k1to stated:
“After being benched at OG I focused on myself to get in the best shape I can be, getting my lifestyle optimized. I feel energetic and really like the AM Gaming project as they are giving me a new shot to showcase my skill. With good staff and people behind it, I am ready and excited to show what we are made of.”
The team’s competitive debut is slated for the Betclic Clash Summer open qualifier.
Additional Background from HLTV Coverage
Free Agent Context: Both syrsoN and k1to appeared on HLTV’s list of free agents compiled during the 2025 off-season, demonstrating that they have been searching for stable team opportunities for some time.
Pevious Bench Moves: Earlier in 2023, syrsoN was benched from BIG in favor of youngster “hyped”, while k1to had publicly discussed his transition from BIG to OG, describing it as both necessary and healthy for all parties involved.
Final Thoughts
Achieveminds’ AM initiative emerges as a thoughtful and athlete-oriented project within Counter-Strike. By assembling experienced yet unsigned players and offering them comprehensive support, the agency hopes to reignite their competitive trajectories.
