3DMAX Advance to CS Asia Championships Semifinals with Win Over fnatic

3DMAX have booked their spot in the semi-finals of the CS Asia Championships 2025, defeating fnatic in a three-map quarterfinal showdown. As the highest-ranked team left in the event, 3DMAX are now just two wins away from lifting the trophy. Their next challenge: a semi-final matchup against Liquid

Quarterfinal Recap vs. fnatic

  • On their map pick Inferno, 3DMAX stormed to an 8-1 lead on the T side and eventually closed the map out 13-5.

  • fnatic responded on Train, leveraging momentum and a dominant CT side to win 13-7.

  • In the decider Dust2, 3DMAX secured the series 13-9 and sealed their advance to the semis.

Top performers included blameF for fnatic (46-34, +12, 1.23 rating), and Maka (47-35, +12, 1.16 rating) along with Ex3rcice (43-41, +2, 1.17 rating) for 3DMAX.

Road to the Quarterfinals & Team Momentum

Coming into the event as the top-rated side, 3DMAX had high expectations placed on them. In the group stages, they initially succeeded, convincingly defeating The Huns 13-1 before falling to Legacy in the upper bracket. They then recovered through the lower bracket, overcoming Lynn Vision and Virtus.pro to clinch the final playoff spot from Group A.

Notably, their lower-bracket match against Virtus.pro went down to three maps, with 3DMAX winning Overpass, falling on Inferno, but ultimately prevailing on Train to move on.

Meanwhile, in a parallel quarterfinal, Legacy secured the last semi-final berth with a 2-1 series victory over FUT, ending FUT’s surprise run in China. Legacy will face HEROIC in the semis.

Ahead: Semifinal Against Liquid

3DMAX now await Liquid in the semifinal, which is scheduled for October 18. Liquid await the winner of fnatic/3DMAX as part of the event’s bracket. If 3DMAX advance, they would be just one best-of-3 away from the final.
